This is what I wanted to see... traveller never used different element in a region before
Seriously this like type of element switching or like the anemo and geo were used on childe thing should happen more often now. And since there’s 2 nation left to visit hopefully the traveler would use this things more than before.

I was surprised seeing Lumine switched Geo, i always believed she can only wield ONE element depending on what region she's in
In Childe fight, traveler used both anemo and geo in the same time
In Sumeru arc she broke Nahida's barrier with her anemo rasengan drill
lore wise, traveler can use all the elements acquired for now at the same time, but they don't want to make them OP in game or else it might hurt the sales :D
in terms of lore, the traveler can wield all the current 5 regions respective elements at the same time, but in gameplay, you can only use 1 by resonating to the respective elemental statue of the seven.

I usually play Genshin on my sister's ID. I played today, did this and another Story Quest. It was the most amazing time I've had while playing Genshin, I started crying while doing this story quest. It's nice and dandy during single player for sure. But what's gonna happen in multiplayer? Does everyone slow down? Is it only the traveller? How about enemy attacks? Do they slow down only on the traveller? How about the others?

Video game cutscenes like this always bugged me, you can never do any of these cool super powers like this in-game like run at lightning speed and leap over large objects. I notice that Rockstar games like Max Payne and GTA5, in-game you have has bullet-time magic, but in the cutscenes the main character is a average person. Games now and days like to show you something you can't have in-game.

I still don't understand why we cannot change the element with the Traveler like the trailblazer can do it (even though the trailblazer hasn't been using fire outside his fight against Cocolia).
I can't imagine the chaos in coding right there. Had this game been a single player only, like one without any coop whatsoever it may have been viable, but you have to account for when it happens in coop since you can access the character screen in coop too.
@@indiomie, there is no chaos in coding, it's simple af, even for that iNdiE gAmE sTuDiO that "accidentally" having millions of $ every month. Mihoyo just don't want to do it since traveller is free character, that's all.
This is the same reason for all of traveller forms be at the best just decent, or mostly shitty weak if we are talking about hydro (peak of cringe) and electro. Success of dendro is a miracle (dendro just good because of reactions that same for all chars - element itself is overpowered), decent geo and anemo is mistake that was learned and noted later.
That's at worst 1 week of work for one developer and may be 1 week of work for UI designers. They just want more money

From what i've experienced working in game dev as an animator, things that people say are simple... Aren't. Ranging from prioritizing tasks because someone up where cannot be bothered to hire more or someone in management keeps on running their mouth. What could've been as you say a 1 week task is now a backlogged task that keeps on getting pushed back. Plus paperworks, scheduling, red tapes...
In short no. It ain't that simple. It never will be.
That's why I said it's chaos incarnate. The coding problems start when management says something.
@@indiomie what's you are saying is not the chaos in coding, but "failure" in management and task (feature) prioritization, it's has nothing to do with organization of developing itself. True that we are not working inside the company and can't be sure about that (absurd things is possible), but just by judging by the speed of developing new mechanics and quality of updates I doubt that they struggle with unsupportable legacy or from lack of development organisation so much that simple improvement will be take years to fulfill.
Delivering features to management mostly doesn't takes much time either, just compare Indazuma to Sumeru and Sumeru to Fontaine - (relatively) quick feedback is obvious.
It's just essential feature that won't change many things from business point of view, this is why it has low priority. It won't bring more money, even opposite, they can be afraid that it can lower sales of new characters (regardless of how reasonable this fear is). They never did it, they don't know results on business, so most likely they will delay it because they don't want to risk. Again look at Indazuma-Sumeru-Fontaine connection - you can't say that weakness of traveller is unintentional more like they were afraid that bubble ultimate and finger-pistol will ruin Neuvillette's sales and.... Overdone it, made hydro-traveller unplayable shit, and Neuvillette opposite, able to solo clean abyss (look at the top-20 of teams for cleaning abyss - that's ridiculous yet funny). However, can't say that this didn't work 😂 This is why I said that this is "failure" in management - players may be want it, but until this business model works and works good it can't be considered as real failure, so they won't make huge changes and just continue work as is. Players can dislike it, but until their annoyance can be ignored without noticeable damage, it will be ignored.
If Mihoyo really want it they do it, and we have many examples of this such as Honkai Impact "2.0" (Huge update for 3rd), new dendro element, HSR, other their new games, even update of the map view in Genshin, just correct work of Fontaine water mechanics and many others QoL improvements needs much more efforts than simple in-combat elements switch that was already done by fans. Yes, I know, single-facely sometimes it's easier to do than in huge company (no matter how paradoxal it sounds), but for this company it's definitely not a problem. What can be complicated in some companies or seem to be like this not always so complicated in others. They just don't need to do it yet, that's all.
is easy to do. Zero dificult, just put in button in battle to switch element class. When click send a signal that change the character skill set and status or best arctifact and cone. Other alternative is load all pre-build element and just switch the person.

On one hand it’s cool that Hoyo remember Traveler can use elemental power (hadn’t use any since Raiden fight) and can switch element at will (hadn’t use that since Childe fight)

Without Gods or Adepti support power Traveler isn't that strong Shenhe is more powerful, Ganyu stated Traveler is around her level of power. In one of recent events she/he was comparable to Ayaka as they fought Kenki and saved each other multiple times.

@@ashrafhakim379 some people underestimate characters like Ayaka, Keqing, Jean, Kaeya and judge only by their origin, but all of them have feats to be equal if not better than Traveler, they just didn't know about them
Only upgrade i see here is Traveller just cut the distance of what wouldve been maybe 4-6 stamina bars worth of 240 depending how you navigate or sprint /sprint jump

If the Traveler's gameplay could allow us just to switch elements whenever we want in combat, what would the button in the Statue of the Seven be useful for ? It is also established in lore that it is thanks to them that the Traveler acquires new elements in the first place, so even if they can switch them later on in lore whenever they wish, I feel like I can understand HoYo's choice to limit the player and "force" us to go to a Statue to switch elements.
