From this line i thought Arlecchino was talking about the twins act to Fontaine as the Fatui spies, but the more i hear it, i feel like this line was really describing more about Furina and how she "fooled" Everyone. She really is such a good "Actress" and Fontaine's story were full of many unexpected twist and turns. Hoyoverse really knew what they were doing by developing Fontaine's story arc

I mean, just comparing the earlies animation. Which is for HoV, you can already see how much better the Honkai team is at this kind off stuff. Even the finger snap in that animation compared to the one in this animation has more impact.
From the Wanderer's voiceline about her along with Childe's, Arlechinno seems like a very unpredictable person. From her speech about acting, I feel like a big part of her character will be about switching between 'characters' or putting on different faces depending on the 'crowd'.
Arlechino in the original source, Comedia Dell'arte is typically portrayed as someone who is two faced or someone who will betray. Given Childe's comment on her too, its likely she has something up her sleeve.
Arlecchino's design is just perfect, it's Sinister, Beautiful, Seductive, Intimidating, Powerful and Graceful all at once, every element of her was done perfectly

When wriothesley and navia were standard banner characters, clorinde hated navia, furina had a double personality, neuvi and clorinde were evil, sandrone would appear, arlecchino or childe would die, wrio had an assistant etc. lol

I actually like Focalor's implied personality. She seems much more self-centered compared to the other archons (even compared to Venti who acts like nothing bothers him) and only seeks to entertain herself. Makes you wonder, using all the implications in this teaser, could it be that all of Fontaine's people are "acting" for the sake of their Archon's entertainment?
Venti's personality is an act, as seen by his story quest. We only see the true venti five times (first seeing venti with dvalin, venti meeting dvalin after fixing the holy lyre, dvalin saving venti from falling, the end of venti's story quest, and the end of the Weinlesefest). Venti honestly doesn't get bothered unless something is seriously wrong and mond can't handle it on their own. He's not selfish but Focalors seems to be selfish and childish. I do like that each archon has a distinct personality that fits with their characters and backstory.

It isn't just animating new frames, they're using the same model instead of redrawing it, keeping it's consistency the same. (Which has to done considering Genshin's complex character designs.)

Alright guys at 2:41, what we are seeing is actually Arlecchino’s in game model, when it finally zooms in, it switches back to 2D and the reason why it wasn’t noticeable was because before that frame there was a black pillar, not only it’s smart to cut less work for the animators, it just works so well edit: oh my god those arent pillars, they are actually the Harbingers, if you slow the video down to 0,25x you’ll kinda see their silhouettes
After finishing 4.2 AQ I must say Genshin has hit its peak, hoyo has set the bar really high this time and I can't begin to imagine how insane Natlan is going to be

Focalors is absolutely just in it for the drama. I mean, travail trailer already said that, but it is so obvious that the complex law of Fontaine is just one big theatrics act so that Focalors can live through as many courtroom dramas as she can. Also, Arlechino will definitely be the main antagonist of the Fontaine arc.
i wonder if arlecchino will be playable. her model is in the game leaks though. so that means she could be playable especially with her new look from the trailer. i feel like that or either she could be in the case of Dottore or Pierro where she mostly won't be playable at all. Right now the only harbinger that are confirmed to be playable are 3 two are already out Childe, Wanderer, And lastly Pulcinella who will come out in snezhnaya.

I wouldn’t really say “great writers” because this is basically how every region goes: Traveller goes to a new region and is mesmerized by the landscape for 10 seconds. They try to meet with the archon, but first has to save the region or something. They save the region, but the archon has next to no information on the twin, onto the next region.
THIS IS SO GOOD Introducing so many characters, seeing ones such as Arlecchino and the magic duo finally making a second appearance, the music, the different versions of Fontaine's motif, all orchestrated perfectly to make this incredible trailer. Can't wait for Fontaine!
Arlecchino sure knows the craft of acting. And the way the silhouettes of the harbingers (a comment here made me realized) are shown as the camera circled around her makes her seem to be an actor too. She stood on the stage, after all. 🤔
We could say that she's taking center stage now and that all the Harbingers are watching her to see if she will be successful in getting a Gnosis or to see if she fails.

As much as I like Mavuika's design, The Fontaine trailer still takes the cake when it comes to the visuals, design, theme and MY GOD esp the music (don't get me wrong, I still like Natlan's music, i'm a sucker for the spanish hints in it) idk how to put my finger on it, but the way fontaine's music was done really hints to the viewer on what kind of story they're in for.
From what I know about Arleccino so far, she may be a good actor and deceiver. Can't wait to see her majestic conspiracy genius playing with the traveler. I always loved the point where a character knows the person is a villain but can do nothing about it because of the cunning villain's plans and schemes, while they don't even need to hide. I believe Arleccino is the same type of character.
They're certainly giving that impression. Maybe you have the answer to the question I'm curious about. Are lynny and Lynnette not the archon but she herself is and they're just a magic trick or illusion the people believe?
She must be that type of character, or else there is no way she could face the Traveler and be the main antagonist of this chapter. If she is truly the no. 10 Harbinger, that means she is far below the main character in terms of power, so an open confrontation wouldn't bear fruit for her. Basically being a mastermind is the only option for her character to be a viable villain, if she is the 10th Harbinger
This teaser and the Fatui teaser are my favorite videos Genshin Impact's ever done, super exciting and genuinely has me super excited for the future of this game.

Idk why, but the giant court room that Furina (Focalors) and Neuvillete were in looks kinda like those theaters from like the 1600s that were used for Shakespeare’s plays to me (those theaters with the high seating areas). How I perceive it in Furina’s view is that the court room and a trial happening inside is like a show or spectacle to entertain her, however, most of these trials or spectacles from her view are all boring and have no twists.
You have a good point! Now that you mention the design of the courtroom, it seems pretty intentional that Hoyoverse deisnged it like that to play well with the God of Justice's needs for drama, just like in the old French days.
Yeah, the trials and performances are actually held at the same place, which is Opera Epiclese. Furina is definitely bored if she agrees to two completely different professions happening in the same place.
And now perhaps she may intentionally or unintentionally frame the traveler (since Alice already teased that we may get caught up in a misunderstanding), the one who saved half of the nation, for the twist she is looking for, OR maybe Focalors herself may be the one on trial.
From this trailer as of next patch the only ones remaining to be playable are Clorinde and Sigewinne. It funny how a year has already passed and the Fontaine arch os about to end when it feels like this came out only a few months ago

I can't even put my thoughts into words because i'm so speechless. Fontaine is the region i've been looking forward to ever since I started playing so I will defo invest in the characters too
@@takitako679 why so? for me the Sumeru Archon Quests + Story Quests were pretty boring since everything just kept repeating itself and it was more draining than enjoyable so I REALLY hope Fontaine will beat the Sumeru AQ / Story quests

@@takitako679 I am being serious😭 Sumeru felt like a chore you had to do. The Aranara & Golden Slumber world quests weren't really interesting either, aswell as the character story quests. It makes me feel like they didn't really know what to do with Sumeru so they just went with whatever came to mind. Sumeru just didn't have that spark for me like Liyue or Inazuma did. Of course I enjoyed bits of it (mostly just Cyno's terrible jokes) but it just felt so draining since you would have to sit there for hours straight just trying to complete this ONE archon quest. Of course I am very thankful they are making them longer but for Sumeru it really just took so long because of all the time loops they put in and it just simply got boring in the end

I just want to point out that there are 12 characters/VAs listed in the description, but we only see 11 of the characters in this teaser. My guess to who we don't see in this teaser is the second voice we hear in the beginning, Egeria. Hopefully we get to see her soon when Fontaine releases.

Navia and Neuvillette seem like completely different characters in this trailer. I was not expecting them to have the personalities they actually have based solely off of this video.
Neuvillette’s voice actor stated that he re-recorded every single line because he realized he hadn’t fully understood the character. This recording was made before he asked to re-record all the lines so that’s why it feels different

I actually like Focalor's implied personality. She seems much more self-centered compared to the other archons (even compared to Venti who acts like nothing bothers him) and only seeks to entertain herself. Makes you wonder, using all the implications in this teaser, could it be that all of Fontaine's people are "acting" for the sake of their Archon's entertainment?
Even Nahida sayed that "Focalors has a, special personality".
I mean, even venti acts for his people benefit (4 now) but she doesn't seem to be like thet at all
Venti's personality is an act, as seen by his story quest. We only see the true venti five times (first seeing venti with dvalin, venti meeting dvalin after fixing the holy lyre, dvalin saving venti from falling, the end of venti's story quest, and the end of the Weinlesefest). Venti honestly doesn't get bothered unless something is seriously wrong and mond can't handle it on their own. He's not selfish but Focalors seems to be selfish and childish. I do like that each archon has a distinct personality that fits with their characters and backstory.

Alright guys at 2:41, what we are seeing is actually Arlecchino’s in game model, when it finally zooms in, it switches back to 2D and the reason why it wasn’t noticeable was because before that frame there was a black pillar, not only it’s smart to cut less work for the animators, it just works so well

Gosh, I love all of the designs and animation quality. The voice acting is amazing too and I’m interested to know more about Lyney’s story
As much as I like Mavuika's design, The Fontaine trailer still takes the cake when it comes to the visuals, design, theme and MY GOD esp the music (don't get me wrong, I still like Natlan's music, i'm a sucker for the spanish hints in it) idk how to put my finger on it, but the way fontaine's music was done really hints to the viewer on what kind of story they're in for.

From what I know about Arleccino so far, she may be a good actor and deceiver.

I always loved the point where a character knows the person is a villain but can do nothing about it because of the cunning villain's plans and schemes, while they don't even need to hide.
I believe Arleccino is the same type of character.

She must be that type of character, or else there is no way she could face the Traveler and be the main antagonist of this chapter. If she is truly the no. 10 Harbinger, that means she is far below the main character in terms of power, so an open confrontation wouldn't bear fruit for her.
Basically being a mastermind is the only option for her character to be a viable villain, if she is the 10th Harbinger

Idk why, but the giant court room that Furina (Focalors) and Neuvillete were in looks kinda like those theaters from like the 1600s that were used for Shakespeare’s plays to me (those theaters with the high seating areas). How I perceive it in Furina’s view is that the court room and a trial happening inside is like a show or spectacle to entertain her, however, most of these trials or spectacles from her view are all boring and have no twists.
You have a good point! Now that you mention the design of the courtroom, it seems pretty intentional that Hoyoverse deisnged it like that to play well with the God of Justice's needs for drama, just like in the old French days.

Yeah, the trials and performances are actually held at the same place, which is Opera Epiclese. Furina is definitely bored if she agrees to two completely different professions happening in the same place.
And now perhaps she may intentionally or unintentionally frame the traveler (since Alice already teased that we may get caught up in a misunderstanding), the one who saved half of the nation, for the twist she is looking for, OR maybe Focalors herself may be the one on trial.

From this trailer as of next patch the only ones remaining to be playable are Clorinde and Sigewinne. It funny how a year has already passed and the Fontaine arch os about to end when it feels like this came out only a few months ago

@@takitako679 I am being serious😭 Sumeru felt like a chore you had to do. The Aranara & Golden Slumber world quests weren't really interesting either, aswell as the character story quests. It makes me feel like they didn't really know what to do with Sumeru so they just went with whatever came to mind. Sumeru just didn't have that spark for me like Liyue or Inazuma did. Of course I enjoyed bits of it (mostly just Cyno's terrible jokes) but it just felt so draining since you would have to sit there for hours straight just trying to complete this ONE archon quest. Of course I am very thankful they are making them longer but for Sumeru it really just took so long because of all the time loops they put in and it just simply got boring in the end

I just want to point out that there are 12 characters/VAs listed in the description, but we only see 11 of the characters in this teaser. My guess to who we don't see in this teaser is the second voice we hear in the beginning, Egeria. Hopefully we get to see her soon when Fontaine releases.
