This guys great..speaks clearly..the video's visual is paired perfectly with content being discussed ( unlike some videos where the view is the fellow's nose hairs or a random table leg) I like his voice..and if you don't think that's important then you haven't sat thru 15 min. of ( what I call)
nasal whistlers, winders..the voice winds up tighter and tighter like squeezing air out of a balloon..then drops into an un- wind where the process starts again..the " is he speaking English ( french, Chinese, ect.?) guy" ..the accent is SO THICK you can't venture to guess WHERE it originated.. and of course " the monatoner" this may be the most deadly..high school

hi, I have an older tv (US) after I entered my password for wifi it says "downloading latest software," went almost all the way through the bar and now it seems stuck :( it had anhdmi place to pug it in, except mine didn't come with batteries. is there a way to restart it?

Got a new firestick 4K for Christmas let’s me choose language, connect to network, But then automatically goes to updating firestick then goes to screen that says unable to update try later. I’ve tried resetting changing the HDMI ports, factory resetting I’m out of ideas. Can or is there anyway to bypass or fix this?
I would verify you have entered your WiFi password correctly. Also check to be sure you have decent speed internet ( like try streaming a TH-cam video to your phone or tablet with cellular turned off - just using WiFi ) if a video won’t stream, you likely need to buy a faster plan for home internet. But ask a friend to help you troubleshoot - ask a friend that already has a smart tv or a streaming device.

OK, this is all very clever but can thus deal with my basic problem. My TV antenna reception is awful as I am surrounded by trees I do not own. Does this device have a live TV menu so I can scroll and watch terrestrial TV on the internet ? Does anyone make such a device?

Yes if the tv has a hdmi it will work.
You should be able to download the TH-cam app to your current smart tv, in much the same way he showed adding apps to the fire stick. I have a Samsung and I downloaded the TH-cam app.

A better alternative to the F4K is the BuzzTV ST4000. The reason why I pick the BuzzTV ST4000 is you are able to add a microSD card to boost the storage to it.

This device only functions if you have home internet service ( WiFi / or if using it at work like in a break room you could use WiFi there based on having a password or a open WiFi connection ) also your WiFi needs to have decent speed, so if you can’t watch a video using your home internet on your smart phone ( turn cellular off just to test then turn it back on - or have a friend with a smart phone or tablet test the speed of your internet service ) if you can’t stream a TH-cam video or movie on your current WiFi, then this device won’t work without purchasing faster home internet service. So it has nothing to offer for over the air tv. It falls under the category of a streaming device. It basically turns a not smart tv into a smart tv so you can use the tv like a tablet, laptop, or desktop to watch free tv service using home WiFi, like Pluto TV, or anything you subscribe to, including amazon prime video. The fire stick 4K also adds the Alexa voice control to make searching for things faster. Hope this helps you understand the reason for the product.
