All three are excellent. Number 2 is loosely connected to 1. 3 is blatantly connected to both 1 and 2, but can be played without playing the first two, if you really want to. However, if you have the time, play all three games. Imo xeno1 has the best story, xeno 2 has the best combat and xeno 3 was a solid mix of both. Xeno 3 was my least favourite, but was still a great game.
All 3 games are fantastic, I’d just start with 1 if I were you, it’s really great and the combat is the easiest to master of the 3 games so you’ll get a good foundation going forward
I know there are so many great games so it is hard to include all, but I would add Baten Kaitos, not the best gameplay in my opinion but its story is amazing, one of the best plot twists I have seen and a great world building!

I don't see Persona 5 Royal and Dragon Quest superior to Xenoblade 3, however, very good recommendations, after all they are personal lists. Strange that XC2 is not mentioned in such a broad list.
The funny thing about this is that at this point every mainline Final Fantasy except for the MMOs, XIII and XVI are available on the Switch, so you're really making a bold stance by saying that Final Fantasy XII is the best one of any of them.
If you're playing Final Fantasy games on Switch, you have a different kind of problem than worrying about what people think is better than others. We all know Final Fantasy II is the objectively best Final Fantasy game out of the entire series anyways. It gave us the SaGa series.

Pretty great list honestly. I LOVE Fire Emblem Engage, is one of the best strategy games I ever played.
Should I start with Xenoblade 1 or is it okay to jump to 3?
xenoblade 1 and 2 i think is fine but xeno 3 connects both games.
