  • Almost twenty years ago in 2005, Arriva Trains Wales hired in a number of Class 37’s & coaches to work the Rhymney Valley Line in South Wales due to shortage of Rolling Stock.
    These locomotives worked six days a week from early summer.
    The locomotives were;
    37405 (EWS livery)
    37411 (BR green livery)
    37419 (EWS livery)
    and
    37425 (BR Large Logo).
    I videoed 37405, 37411 & 37425 during October & November 2005.
    Ten days after I had videoed 37411 the last time, it was named
    CAERPHILLY CASTLE / CASTELL CAERFFILI
    (one name on each side) at Caerphilly railway station on 28th November 2005.
    Apologies for some clitches on the video with dropped clips & audio.

    I had issues with my then camcorder!
