    Just had to say, I’ve been through 8 Analyst/IBD interviews since September. And this video has gotten me to the final stage of each. I’m just revisiting now, but this was my life line, combined with course material and my own research/reflection of course work to build this massive interview study guide. Still waiting and praying for an offer/more interviews, but this guy’s got it figured out, use him and everything he’s got to say! Thank you for all the help!

    You're the best, man. I only watched this video and felt confident to walk into an IB interview with no previous experience besides a few notions about investments. I passed the first round and completed the second (final) round. I got a call saying that I got the offer at one of the top banks in the world.

    This was perhaps one of the most valuable videos I watched and used to prepare for my investment banking interviews. The advice you provided helped me tailor the "Tell me about yourself" interview question. I can honestly say that by personalizing this answer it set a good tone for the interview and made me a much more memorable candidate. Thank you!

    This is very very helpful. I have interview with VP as last round via phone which might be easier as I can ‘use a ‘cheatsheet’ or google. But I’m wondering how we set the tone and if they ask about compensation, should I just give generic answer until I get official offer ? And can you give us tips on recommended unique questions to ask at the end so we can really stand out from the competition? Or what’s a red flag from your experience that candidates raise while answering questions !
    Thank you in advance.

      @naasirramjaun6414  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Research your VPs interest if you have their name (linkedin & Facebook) when the opportunity arise bring up that* you watch a football match of the team they support...* or something like that, and switch the interview from an *interrogation to a conversation* in terms of questions to ask a VP... i'll make a video on that soon, but if you want to see a list of questions to ask then we have over a dozen questions to make you standout in the networking guide.... just memorise 3 to 4 questions from that and you should be fine

    • @Meyouletsgo
      @Meyouletsgo 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      High Finance Graduate I have few questions that I couldn’t google but hope you can help:
      1- what happens when you cannot find any infos it’s rare but I came across some people have no LinkedIn or even FB !
      2-I feel nationality matters, for example brits and american recruiters seem to have more structured as you described way of questions and open to chilled convo while especially doing interviews in developed countries with Italian or Spanish etc...it’s quite hard to connect with them I feel ! And they sound more scripted and serious !When it comes to professional set..,
      3-most importantly salary / package...The HR asked me in the first interview what’s my salary expectation and tried to avoid it as I want to only say it once I have an offer , however I had 2 additional interviews and they want to bring me for the last interview abroad ! The two issues; I don’t want this to be waste of my or their time if they give me very low offer, also early on they mention they can do visa sponsorship but no relocation package and not even flight ticket ! But now they wanna pay for my flight to meet chairman ! and I’m talking about Dubai specifically I’m sure you heard of expat package etc and rent is done yearly ! So it’s kinda of tricky ! So I’m not sure if I just should go and be surprised by low offer ! Or discuss it from now before they prepare my visa ! We agreed to bring me in after 10 days :/ what do you advise ?! Especially the HR alarmed me before interviewing that they only do visa sponsorship and I told her I’m flexible and I’m interested in the role blah blah...I’ve been in Dubai for a year working within international big4 and they offered me relocation package and dubai is very tough city and expensive! So not sure what to do :/

    • @naasirramjaun6414
      @naasirramjaun6414  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      1 - if you really can not find any information then just go in there with rock solid confidence and read their body language and use that as a gauge of how responsive or not to your stories
      2- Nationality doesn't really matter, personality and body language will tell you everything about an individual. My nationality is French but most of my experience is in London so i understand cross cultural differences well. Go in there and show them you can get the work done on time and correctly but also have a decent conversation.
      3- Honestly, when it comes to meeting MD's and Chairmen its mostly a formality, i would never recommend an Analyst to go see my MD if i wasn't 100% sure he/she would make a great addition to the team.... take that in whatever form you want. Salary is a sensitive / complex topic to talk about, but i would always recommend 10%/ 20% above your current salary, that is what i would put down

    • @Meyouletsgo
      @Meyouletsgo 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      High Finance Graduate I want to know, is it common for investment bank to invite you for second round with two people, MD & Director ? I assume it’s not final, as I had one with VP / Associate :/ ...the one with MD was mostly very generic nothing technical but it’s confusing to have another interview with director after MD, what’s your advice/feedback ?!
