Was in coma couple days, hospitalised 7-8 months..Lost my left leg, had /have brain damage , could not feel nor lift my right arm and leg.. broke my right leg in 3 places.. almost lost that one too.. took me 7-8 years too start skiing , might sound long but im happy standing on them tbh … i cant jump as i used too but im glad im alive and killin it’ in my own way , today im teaching my kid skiing , its like seeing myself 20 years ago… its a blessing Thank u for this Colby, means alot ⛷ ❤️ your big fan from 🇸🇪
Damn. That first sequence was so intense. I broke my back skiing and was in a serious car accident on the way to the hospital. The trauma and sheer intensity and visuals you remember from an accident is so gnarly. After a year I’m at 100% again and super lucky to ski at full ability again. Colby you a huge inspiration much love

Enjoying watching your fun at the Olympics. I also have a TBI and am permanently and totally blind in my right eye. Driver of the car, my brother, fell asleep and we hit a tree head on at 53mph. I was asleep at the time and spent a week in a coma. Right forehead smashed into my brain. Now have plastic plate in place of bone. This happened nearly 41 years ago. Had no rehab to this day. Enjoyed a career in IT. Thanks for the video and being such a great skier. Congrats on the Olympics.

Your grandmother was shrieking that he ruined her car. He ruined my physical health. Good spirits though. Always good mood. My father still gave him my 1969 Mustang convertible. Good luck. I was 16. The pain never stops. Really tired of it. Congratulations. And what about that athlete that broke his neck .
