In this video I talk about 3 different types of welding caps and which one I like this most. There are so many differnent people who make them so it can be quite frustrating when you go to buy one for your self. I made this video to try and help you make your decision a little bit easier!

I bought a cap from Comeau at a local welding supply shop. Never felt a more comfortable cap, even after cutting some apart and remaking with my personal material choices found at the local hobby lobby. Excellent caps!!

Welder nation caps hold up as a Boilermaker and we do all sorts of hot work. Thought you should know. So far they are my favorite cap

Boilermaker here too. We have to wear hard hats so I’d guess the weldernation caps being thin would be a good thing.
Welder nation actually offers two different builds of caps. They have lightweight caps and normal thicker caps. You may have the lightweight version seeins how thin it looks. I stand by their normal caps 110%, they are so comfortable!! Awesome review tho brutha, glad to see more people promoting the best trade in the world💪!!!

I'm in Quebec Canada and buying a welder nation costs be 70CAD. I've bought 2 that were over the suggested size and they still felt way too small and shallow. Very disappointed

Lapco hasn't changed their cap design in years I swear by the 4 panel and so did my grandpa and my wife's grandpa ...their caps and my caps are all built the same and have a nice deep crown also the panels is typically just based on what fits your head shape best

Its a wacky name, but they make some really good welding gear.

You talk about all these welding caps, but you haven't said anything about galscaps on Etsy. This woman works wonders. She makes 6-panel caps and always listens to the customer. She makes very beautiful stitching and different cap designs.

I like doogie caps
I have lapco ones and they are too thick. I work outside and it gets soaked in sweat and gives me a headache after awhile. The thinner ones are right up my alley, but to be fair I’m not stick welding. I could see why someone stick welding would want a thicker cap.
The ones I had made are the perfect thickness. Not too thick, not too thin. I’ve washed them many times and are still doing great as well!

Welders Nation camps suck they wear out too easy and their customer service sucks and it takes forever for them to get it to you and the person I talk to was rude as hell
That’s why I’m happy with Clarice. She’s awesome and customer service is great
