Thank you from rural America- many traditional values are based on scarcity and single minded levels of thought. since a child i have always known there was truth in all things. santana dharma (referred to over here and now many places as hinduism) has provided me that. thank you for this resource that is very understandable to english speakers ready to dig deep. i recently listed to 'The Great Courses-Hinduism' and was blown away about how, like many other deeper teachings, were misconstrued and symbols hijacked (i.e. Aryan attitudinal values being distorted Nazism race/eugenic theory). I can only hope that all the spiritual minds in current time are about to help everyone cut through the heavy illusion of Maya and reach each of our highest realities over and over again

      Excerpted from Samyama March 2019
      Shambhavi Mahamudra - A Consecration
Sadhguru: There are various types of initiations. And though we call some of them initiations, not all of them are really initiations. The first process like that that we offer, Shambhavi Mahamudra, is not
really an initiation - it is more like a consecration. We are consecrating people. By any standards, consecrating a living human being is the easiest thing to do, compared to consecrating a form like this Adiyogi linga. This needs enormous work,
because you are making an inanimate object into almost like an animate life, a living discerning form. He [referring to the Adiyogi linga] knows everything
      about you.
This takes lots of work. But consecrating a living human being is easy. The only problem with living human beings is they are experts in taking U-turns. The very first day we initiated you into Shambhavi, you seem to be somewhere; it is very experiential. Some kept it like that for a few days, weeks, months, or years. For some, the moment they got out of the hall, they picked up the phone and started to blabber. Talking on the phone is not a wrong thing,
but there are many ways to do everything. You can eat. Eating is not a bad thing. Eating is needed for this body. If you eat like a pig, that is different. Like this, every activity can be done in different ways.
Shambhavi Mahamudra is a powerful consecration process. All you have to do is make yourself available. This is a consecration - the job has already been
done. It is like the temple has been built, it is just that you have to go and sit there. You just have to benefit on a daily basis, that’s all.
Initiation - A Seed to Be Nurtured
But Shoonya meditation, Shakti Chalana Kriya, Samyama - these are actual initiations. They are of a certain kind. Earlier, the introductory program used to be Shoonya meditation. Shoonya is a proper
initiation. An initiation is like a seed. You have to nurture it - only then will it grow. Many people have realized this. When they were initiated into Shoonya meditation, they were so fantastic.
They went home, they did it for two months and their life changed. Their metabolism changed, they slept less, ate less and everything was fantastic. But then they got caught up with something. They gave it up for a couple of weeks. And again they
remembered Shoonya. Then, nothing. It’s gone. Because it is a seed. It has to be nurtured. If you do not water it, it will die. If you do not take care of it, it is gone.
So we shifted to Shambhavi, which is a consecration. It will not go - it will stay. Your business is only to clean the space and keep it. It creates a certain space and instant experience. And if you keep it
really nice, it enhances itself. But it does not grow like Shoonya. Shoonya can grow.
How can emptiness grow? Only because emptiness has grown, the cosmos is so spread out. If emptiness had not grown, the cosmos would not be so big. A hundred billion stars or galaxies would not have made it so big. It is the growth of emptiness which has made it so big. So it grows. And it cangrow limitlessly.
      Disturbances during Programs
Because Shambhavi is a consecration, if at the time of initiation, there are disturbances, yes, it does affect me. I initiate ten thousand people at a time these days. If they are all like one person, it is no problem. But if there are fifteen or twenty people who are doing some nonsense, it hits me so badly. People around me see this. One initiation I go and
boom I come back. Another one I go and it just knocks me down. But later on how you take care of it doesn’t affect me so much. Because we have just invested. We may lose the investment, but the basic structure of my energy is not damaged that way.
We are now doing Bhava Spandanas only in consecrated spaces that are built for this purpose. There was a time when we were doing Bhava Spandanas in all kinds of choultries, marriage and function places around Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and
Andhra Pradesh. The day before, they were having a wedding or some other party. In the morning, our volunteers cleaned and set up everything. In the evening, we started a Bhava Spandana. In these places, we used to suffer a lot. Conducting Bhava Spandana, sometimes lemon-sized lumps
would come up on my spine. It would take days sometimes to get rid of it. But now since we are doing Bhava Spandana in the safety of consecrated spaces, it is all going like a play. But if it is done in spaces which are not prepared for that purpose, it’s
      a different game.
      Damage That Can Happen during
      Consecrations
Where damage can happen is when consecrations are being done like when we did the Adiyogi consecration [referring to Adiyogi linga]. All the fourteen thousand participants sat like one person. Even today, I bow to those people, the most
amazing and fantastic crowd we have seen so far -particularly because I had planned to do a large part of the consecration in private with a few people, but I could not do that because of my schedule. I landed
up here just a few days before the consecration, and it was a real concern how to do the consecration in front of this huge gathering. But it was not like a public space. It was almost like I was being with one person - fourteen thousand people. If people are like that, we can do tremendous things.
We did the Devi consecration largely with a handful of people, but somehow we could not get the necessary discipline that we wanted. I am all out, and people around me are playing little tricks here and there. I lost my sense of taste and smell for a year and a half. I’m extremely sensitive to every kind of smell, and my sense of taste is very keen. But for over eighteen months, it was like I just ate tasteless plastic kind of food. I didn’t even know what I was eating. Simply, just for nourishment,I ate something.
And many other things happened. Almost three times, I fell on my left side - one time with some reasonable injury, rest of them I escaped. But now that’s kind of reasonably fixed.
So it depends on what we are doing. Like someone asked me recently, “Why these yoga packages?” Packages are for safety, both for those who receive and those who give. If you give out a package, they can use it in a wonderful way, or they can destroy it - it is up to them. But instead of a package, if you are doing a free-flowing process, then you need absolute trust. Otherwise, their stupidity can destroy you also - very much possible. Well, here and there, we have paid that kind of price. But
generally, for the kind of results we have produced, it has been an okay kind of a price to pay.
      SADHGURU

@@Cheiko18 Hi Devyani, I am sorry that you feel so pathetic about reading other's thoughts on a social platform. It's so beautiful that you have put your opinions here. Let me give you an example when you like a dish of a specific restaurant don't you recommend it to other people, does that make you a cult follower. When a university offers a particular course which no other university or college provides, do you not spread this information to other peers looking for the same, does that again make you a bootlicker.
Also, if you think Isha followers is seemingly a cult for you so let me brighten up your understanding that Isha Foundation doesn't have any religious inclination instead encourage the latest human consciousness not to miss the self-maintenance habits(the yoga).
Another point, all the links shared above are from open blogs and when you say "propagate the practice", you would never find an Isha related individual to speak about the practice specifically.
Please do not belittle the meaning of a guru, wherein you, me and all of us have come from an educational background where we have to follow the teacher(guru). If the guru is working for the welfare of society, the uplifting(just not meditation and yoga) of the nation then better channelise your energy in such vision.
I don't know if you have had any bad experience with Isha or any such community and also, I do not wish to sound a blind follower of any community.
Your thoughts are welcome! No offence.

My dear and modest guru, Chandrasekharanand, remover of darkness, made it clear that the lotus petals, their phonemes, locations, vibrations and siddhis are a separate system from the chakras. The location for bam is at the right ovary and its meaning is "Remover of all unauspiciousness and giver of auspiciousness." Start each day choosing to join 'the happy parade' of auspiciousness. The meaning of bhum is "Remover and terrifier of astrals." Its location is at the appendix. Imagine the vibration of each petal is generated at its location, each a unique musical instrument - not shaped by vocal cords or thought in the brain. Bhum is the power to bump off of you, as if with your right hip, any external intentions that are not for your higher good. Mum, located and emerging from the right kidney "Separates and joins others." It is the power to be comfortable in Oneness and as a limited being. From the higher state why should joining or separating bring pain? The petals of Svadhisthana are tools of everyday life. Wear them like tools on a belt. Yam "The all pervasive giver of purity is located through the left kidney. Rum " Gives the power of fire and can be located in the entire large intestine or focused on the right side. Lum "Gives the grace of God, Savior of the universe" generates bliss from the left ovary. Imagine every cell and atom of your body dissolves into bliss and that God replaces your body with his generative essence. You need do nothing to "earn" or "deserve" or "evolve" towards this.

It's symbolism. Blue refers to universal consciousness. That is why all the gods are typically given the form in blue colour.

They aren't many good institutions for this but among the few we have, the best one is "Samskrita Bharati" by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan. It's official website is - www.sanskrit.nic.in . As far as I know, it has a course of few weeks but maybe it won't teach you individually, you need to gather 9-10 students more before contacting it.

🙏 I read in one of the Sadhguru's books that it's not advisable to meditate on lower chakras below Anahata , it will create more bondages . Is it true ?
So also , you seemed to skipped to make video on Visuddhi Chakra . Is it deliberately avoided?
Please also give Hindi subtitles so that audience base will also increase .

Have you looked into padmasambahva at all? Tibetan Buddhism( which was partially taken from Sanskrit due to him traveling to India) is one of the only forms which create rainbow bodies, it is also the least polluted spiritual process. Padmasambava used tantric practices to attain Buddha. He was the second Buddha. Sadhguru doesn’t want you to believe everything he says and clearly states this. Constantly be seeking is his approach. I have done his inner engineering course and watched videos for years, he does not like putting people in certain states of consciousness. Understandably, but if you are trying to seek enlightenment even sadhguru says a seeker must do all the little things to attain that so don’t limit yourself if you feel ready.

1 can chakras be activated without awakening Shakti ?
2 if yes then what is the significance of awakening the chakras without awakening Shakti ?
3 If Shakti gets awaken, do one separately need to effort for awakening the chakras ?

    • @danielkerlinsky3084
      @danielkerlinsky3084 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Without opening sushumna nadi playing with chakras is of little significance. You can build some prana, remove some pain, balance some organs but it is rare to be able to remove blockages and heal injuries to the subtle body. Practice with the sincerity of hoping to find a genuine guru who can help open sushumna. Once Shakti is awakened and is directed into sushumna nadi the guru and shakti herself have to heal the injuries of each chakra and remove the entities and spiritual hardware of imprisonment. Then you start to clear the thousand petal lotus.

    • @danielkerlinsky3084
      @danielkerlinsky3084 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Siddhasana and Virasana are the traditional seated positions that make it easier for sushumna to be found. Stay with the sound of each petal long enough for the physical body at each location to relax and for the vibration to become clear. When you have built enough prana ... notice externally during the day what situations benefit from withdrawing from the world of dualism by manifesting a relevant lotus petal through playing the instrument of the phoneme. From the seed form look upwards from the inside of the sacrum. From the left side penetrate sushumna below the navel. From vajra nadi descend, loop forward the back inwards towards the base of the spine... and keep going inside. Always pray for help and brush the darkness off the navel by drawing it forward first with as much love and light will fill your palms.

How do u activate the chakras? Is it by chanting vam and associated bijas like 6 bijas as u said including vam? Okay, what is the corresponding area in the front body? Is it the naval region so that we can know that swadishtana is at the back of the navel...and meditate.,because you know that except muladara which is at the bottom, every other chakra has It's parallel corresponding spot or position in our front body. The spine is actually where we are, but it would be helpful if you can also point out exactly the aligned position in the body so that viewers can easily locate their front position and bring their mind to the spine. For example, Anahatam is at the back of the chest, heart, visuddi at the back of the neck hole, Ajna at the back of the eye centre pineal gland...etc I am a novice but it would be really helpful for basic meditators like us if we know the correct location of the chakras and the method of finding it, the method of activating either through bijas, or yoga etc... Then how to know if it is activated in a proper manner,. As you know, activating swadishtana like chakras need to be carefully done as it Shud not get stuck anywhere and unexpected feeling or problems might arise for the individual and might lead them away from the desired goal. Thanks,Hari Om
