- I made a compilation of some of the best sounding BMW M5 F10s I have filmed over the years. This luxurious German BEAST is powered by a 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine which sounds absolutely fantastic! Video includes tons of revs, pulls, burnouts and acceleartions of the M5 F10. As great as the E60 sounded these F10’s do not disappoint in my opinion. They sound so angry!
With the V8 rumble and turbo spoolup, it somehow manages to sound like the most American car I've ever heard.

Akrapovic is the best exhaust for M5 F10 and M6 for sure. Sounds so deep and epic. Sooo much better than IPE.

I’d say e39 than f10 than e34 because it’s so raw followed by f90 than e60

Long time M enthusiast here and lucky enough to have owned several Ms, including F10 M5 and F13 M6:
It is because these cars do not have blow-off valves / recirculation valves.
Most turbo cars use a recirculation valve to redirect boost/charge air in the intake manifold back to the inlet side of the turbo when you let off the throttle.
These cars do not have those valves, because BMW says they are not needed due to the design of the turbos and the use of Valvetronic (BMW's variable valve lift control)
It's ignition cut. It helps with faster shifts. Some people refer to it as shift farts.

Aviation mechanic wouldn't cut it. You'd have to be a millionaire entrepreneur, businessman or something that can make you millions. You could always buy a house right outside of monaco but then you can't take advantage of tax free living etc.
Unless you are a multi millionaire I don't see any reason for living there. It's not heaven, it's just a bunch of rich people.

The new generation mistake very loud for very good. Loud banging does not equal quality note composition. IMO many of these new turbo exhaust sounds have no composition and are just loud mash-ups of rasp, clangs, bangs and a whistle to tie the sound profile together. What I get is a lack of genuine character. Sound is subjection so I’m just sharing my own personal opinion. Perfect example, BMW S65 vs S55 or S62 vs S63. Can anyone honestly say the new engines sound better in any way shape or form. The old S38 can be enjoyed at any speed because the sound is an orchestra while the new car needs brute force and speed as well as fake sound to give drivers a similar feeling of special.
I get what u mean old engine being enjoy at lower speed but if u take the e60 m5s engient hats not the case. Torqueless and that shorta shit cheeses me. The turbo engines are just btter in every way but sound. Imo though with the righr sound mods the s63tu sounds wonderful. Has quite a bit of character. I cant really say that for the s55. The s55 has no progression ij its tone kinda like an amg just gets lil louder at redline. The s63tu has a change in pitch by time it hits limit.
Stefan Cupovic ugh I honestly don't know what you are talking about. Turbo engines bore the arse off me. They sound like shit and in my opinion are very dull. There is no incentive to hold onto revs. I love the way power builds and builds in an na engine. You don't get that shove in the back like you do in a modern turbo(or even a standard diesel) but in the long term it is way more satisfying.
Every modern turbo car I've had has become boring within six months. Older turbos like Subarus and supras are different as the boost is wild.
