    Looks cute ... what I do when I get to the bottom... I use a crochet hook into the already braided part and continue to braid down and I have the kinky curly ends and looks natural.... when I braid over it usually falls or slips! but it still looks CUTE and great job!

    I really really really want to try this. I have done crochet braids on myself for years but have never tried box braids. I am tender headed so I have always wanted box braids that are light weight. I may have to give this a try in the new year.

    Hey LOVES! I'm back with this Zoe Kravitz Inspired Style. I love how light weight these braids are and how bomb they look when wet with water. These definitely are not meant to be perfect, but are to have a little bit of a "perfectly imperfect" look. So don't trip over frizz or minor imperfections. Hope you enjoyed! • @bookbag6432

      They don’t make really good human hair for braiding. You would have to get a lot of wefted hair to cut and use that to braid your hair, which would cause hundreds of dollars just for the hair.

      AseaMae will this work with Marley hair?

    • @AseaMae
      @AseaMae  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep you can do lightweight braids with Marley hair just use small sections. If you want to add human hair to the ends cut the Marley hair in half. Otherwise, you can leave it long and just rod the ends to get a curly look.

  • @marciaEK17
    @marciaEK17 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would really like to know how many packs you used and dis you use the entire pack. about how many braids did you do. I've been dying to try the Zoe braid but it's time consuming so I want to get the thickness right

    • @AseaMae
      @AseaMae  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      marciaEK17 from the braiding hair I used a little less than 1/2 a pack. From the bundle of human hair, I only used 1/4 of a bundle. Bear in mind that you cut the hair off the track and then you crab a piece about 1 cm in width to braid into the hair. You can alway alter the amount of hair to your preference to make it thicker if u wish. Zoe just has more of the thinner, frizzy look.

    • @AseaMae
      @AseaMae  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The hair I used was purchased through a manufacturer so it doesn't have a name but the color is 2. I also used scraps of virgin hair I purchased in the past. Some bomb hair you can use for this style is the spectra ez braid professional pre stretched hair. This is one of my current faves and should be able to be found online or in your local BSS.

    Do you think I can do this by crocheting in the hair and then braiding in the human hair?
    I like to braid my hair down and then crochet in hair because it last longer.

  • @Persephoness
    @Persephoness 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question...I suffer from allergic rhinitis, which means that strong chemical scents might cripple me entirely. Is there a strong scent associated with these braid extensions? I've had allergic attacks to Toyokolon hair for example. I love braids and want to rock the lighter look, but have always had this response to synthetic or some human hair.😣

    • @AseaMae
      @AseaMae  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you purchase 100% virgin hair you shouldn't experience any chemical smells. The hair I used didn't have a chemical scent at all. Plus I always wash virgin hair prior to use. Have you tried soaking synthetic hair in apple cider vinegar? That may help to ensure there is no smell or chemicals in the hair.

    • @Persephoness
      @Persephoness 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      AseaMae thank you. I do use vinegar to do just that, but it works only so much, as some extensions are soo processed that it never really goes away. So buying hair is a huge hit or miss for me, which is why I like finding out what kind of smell they have from others🙄
