To clarify, it is heavy symbolism of her nature, the tree itself is not a physical tree, its a metaphor of her self-awareness and her position, she wishes to find freedom from this war and that tree "sprouting from the earth" is her saying that her life has more meaning than a simple weapon and she has the liberty of choice, this is what unlocked the SAM potential within the suit. All of the SAM's have this locked potential. As we know from the recent: "Keeping up with Starrail" is that a SAM suit has actual capabilities dormant which the Iron Calvary never got to unlock, even going as far that the winged form is most likely not even the true form as Albrecht directly stated that there is even more dormant power in the suit that one initial thought and that Firefly will access with future experience.

None of the other SAM have the wing form, Firefly the only one that somehow unlock that potential
Yeah. I’m thinking it’s when the Aeon of Destruction noticed her, similar to when that happened to the Trailblazer on Belobog and Penacony.
@@matthewmspace Pretty sure it's not Nanook, it might be just her own willpower awakening or Yaoshi giving her that extra power boost.
The other SAMs were able to fly away in the last trailer despite not having wings, so I find it kind of odd they didn't fly during this battle
