There were other Fyrefly model floating around too. Notice Kafka says, "Ah, fyreflies dancing among the stars." Fyreflies not a fyrefly, meaning plural, multiple fyrefly units floating out there.
@@ShapeshifterOS it's metaphorical, likely referencing a part of Elio's script which is often vague when describing events. As far as we know, Firefly is the only remnant of Glamoth - at least until another one appears at some point in the story

Firefly's history is steeped in lore.
The Cliff Note version is:
Firefly is a genetically engineered clone that was designed to fight a catastrophic force called the Swarm (which was one of the biggest disasters the universe ever saw).
All of the Glamoth Iron Calvary were designed to be shock troops and disposable. They also had a kill switch in the form of a chronic disease called Entropy Loss Syndrome that basically causes them to fade from existence over time so that no one else could get ahold of Glamoth's super soldiers. So Firefly is slowly dying and has a comparatively short lifespan.
By the point that we see in these Trailers the Glamoth Empire no longer exists. It won its war against the Swarm but at a very high cost.
As far as we know Firefly is the only survivor of the Glamoth Empire.
After the animated short Kafka found her and asked her to join the Stelleron Hunter's which is the group she's second in command of and includes Blade and Silver Wolf.
So I'm a nutshell Firefly is a lone survivor of a dead empire that's slowly dying of a chronic illness and is trying to figure out who she is outside of a weapon while searching for a cure to her illness.
Yah... trying to understand Firefly requires a lot of knowledge about the world of Star Rail.

There is also a fan theory that she was blessed by the Aeon of Abundance during the fight in the trailer, since abundance is usually represented by greenery. Abundance took pity on her and granted her the gift to keep living
@natey173 that's a sweet theory that does fit with the idealogy of the Abundance. I can see it though the result doesn't entirely fit Yaoshi's MO from what we've seen. Yaoshi's blessings generally tend towards life going out of control.
That said we only really know about the Abundance via the Xianzhou who got cursed because of asking for immortality (which they did give to them) who knows what Yaoshi would do of the wish was simply to live rather then live forever?
The Swarm(the bugs) they´re fighting is just a renmant of the forces that the Aeon of Propagation once create. They duplicate themself like crazy.
And in some document in game is also implied that they can parasite pregnant women so those give birth even more bugs. A nurse just lose her shit when a entire hospital was full of scream from the new borns.
Also the emanators of thus path will consume stars and use tho create even more bugs.
"Those star will explode in a super nova, it just that the explosion will be a one of millions of bugs instead of pure energy" or something like that,
The Swarm Disaster was crazy. One of the best part of lore in Honkai Star Rail
Well they thrive off all forms of propagation so that was definitely going to be a potential issue, there's a reason why multiple gods were needed to stop it from getting out of hand. I think its only with the Swarm and to a lesser extent the Abundance that you get reminded that Aeons are basically Eldritch gods that happen to be friendly sometimes or indifferent

As to explain that part, Firefly's planet, Glamoth, was fighting the Swarm. That gaint one you saw was basically a general class Swarm, but as you saw everyone there died as a result.
The reason Kafka was at the end is bcz she found Firefly in space (you saw her foating near the end) and so Firefly became the 2nd Stellaron Hunter ever recruited (Kafka was the first Eliot recruited)

It says you can't leave the cockpit. Returning to their unit means returning to base after the mission. The long haired one is Firefly.
Myriad Celestia shows the aftermath of a battle during the war with the Swarm. The video after it is the battle for Glamoth itself. The last, final, desperate fight against the Swarm.
"Glamoth no longer exists." You watched it get exterminatused. When the war was clearly lost, they resorted to "scorched earth" meaning they would destroy their own world and the Swarm with it rather than simply lose. It's unknown if the tree we see grow at her feet is purely symbolic or a manifestation of some kind of ascension. The green flames she gives off afterward happen in game during "Complete Combustion" which in chemistry terms means that a flame is burning with complete purity. Basically if a flame doesn't leave behind soot, it's experiencing complete combustion. It is possible that Firefly literally experiences some kind of apotheosis in that moment.
The next video starts off with the call for reinforcements from the previous video, but notice the voice changes. This time it's the IPC calling for reinforcements trying to fight Firefly. It's a really nice juxtaposition.
Glamoth was an empire that created an army of artificial humans (not clones, they are not identical) to pilot those mechs. They also created a person called The Empress who was psychically linked to all the pilots, who they would follow with absolute loyalty (they didn't have the ability to refuse her orders) and tasked The Empress with bringing the worlds on the edge of Glamoth space into complete subjugation of Glamoth rule. While doing this, they encountered the Swarm and became the Swarm's new target. Glamoth fought and slowly lost ground, eventually falling in the final battle that left only one known surviving Knight, who is Firefly. Firefly then entered a state of suspended animation until recovered from floating in space by Kafka on the direction of Elio, who foresaw where to find her. All of this happened between 50,000 and 100,000 years before the events of the game, with Firefly being picked up by Kafka only a few years ago. The reason we don't know when exactly the battles we see happened is we only know it was in Amber Era 13XX, and an Amber Era isn't a fixed length of time. It's anywhere from 76 to 200 something years per Amber Era.
Amber eras are between 76 and 250 years (Trailblazer Calendar, aka Real-world callendar)
But, im not sure about the clones thing, is it confirmed they arent clones? (not from the same person mind you, as there are both male and female) Cus alot of the imagery and dialogue in the myriad celestia, aswell as charactertrailer. Brings big "Clone" energy. Like how they need to do minor things to not end up "all looking the same".
IDK, what would be easier, they already had some form of gene tech going. would it be easier to just clone some people, or create artificial humans?
It should be added that Glamoth died because the sun of their planetary system was covered by the amount of dead bodies of Swarm bugs and Firefly units. So the planet fell into the permanent darkness and coldness. And then it was exterminated. Truly a Warhammer 40000 experience. Also Battle for Glamoth happened after the Swarm Disaster, so this amount of bugs was just a tiny little bit of the real Swarm.

- The bugs are the remnents of the aeon of Propagation who's been defeated a long time ago who still cause trouble throughout the universe
- The "Fireflies" are an army of the now fallen Glamoth empire. They were created artificially and were born with a disease making them die after a short period of time to avoid them getting in the enemies' hands.
- Firefly is the only survivor of Glamoth's iron cavalry she's been found by kafka and was the second stellaron hunter to join the crew
The ending was actually real. It's hard to explain without context but Firefly awakened to new abilities by following one of the Paths at that very moment which made her mech transform and become strong enough to destroy the entire Planet.
This was 126000 years ago.
The path was propogation by the way. Abundance didn’t exist yet.

Firefly deserves all the hugs, girl had a tough life as a weapon of war so now we must feed her a lot of Oak Cake Rolls.

For the 3D trailer where they're calling for help in the beginning, I think the implication is that Firefly is now the thing that people are afraid of and requesting backup against. There is a legitimate reason she has such a high bounty now.
The short has been released after the Myriad Celestia because it's canonically after what happened during the Myriad Celestia

If you've never seen a magical girl turn into a mech well now you have.
Firefly and the rest of the Iron cavalry are clones born to fight the swarm. They are all born with finite lifespans only made to fight and die in combat as a failsafe (to burn to ashes). This was why in the myriad trailer they were all talking about their appearance and how it differed and made them unique since they are all artificial.
The swarm disaster which you saw ravaged many worlds (think of them like the zerg or tyranids) When firefly says Glammoth is already gone they are still standing on their planet at the end there which has been so devastated by the fighting its basically just a dead planet at that point.
Kafka later comes to recruit firefly for the stelleron hunters which is why she is a wanted criminal aswell.

Well you see, those bugs? Yeah, they're an forever expanding, more specifically, forever propagating swarm. Their entire purpose is to reproduce, which causes a large and uneding swarm. These bugs are from an Aeon (a god) in this game named Tazzyronth, who is the aeon of propagation. Tazzyronth was so lonely that it self propagated when it became an Aeon, and that just never stopped. It got so bad that this was a universal threat to the entire universe, and several Aeons ganged up to defeat this one aeon. While Tazzyronth has been defeated, it is not DEAD, as it is only sealed in amber by the Aeon of Preservation. Thus, the swarm still lingers out in the universe and still is a major threat. Their rampage was also the direct cause for the aeon of destruction's acension into aeonhood, because they attack said Aeon's homeworld

So canonly Firefly IS the anime waifu, she is the ONLY character who actually does better in battle with a certain character (the main one), and they share several implied-romantic scenes. But Hoyo doesn’t specifically do romance scenes much because they allow fans to choose their own choices and reactions. But in the long run she attaches to the main character the most because they help her out without question and she isn’t used to it as you see she’s only been created to follow orders.
Her story is definitely bittersweet despite her look and when people realized it they all fell in love with her (me included), and people expect her banner to be one of, if not THE, best selling of the game so far.

12:12 swarm are kids of Aeon of propagation, so they multiply endlessly, there is just huge amount of them that keeps growing. More than half of living life in universe was eaten by them during Swarm disaster before aeon of propagation was killed by combined power of several other aeons.
Aeon of propagation was not killed he was just sealed away in amber by Aeon of preservation. So there is a chance that he can break free again.
the monsters they were fighting is the swarm and war is happening during the swarm disaster caused by one of aeons which was one of the biggest disasters in universes history and if i remember correctly even couple of aeons fallen during swarm disaster

Glamoth's Iron Cavalry is very reminiscent of the Eighty-Six, Helldivers, Spartans from Halo and Clones from Star Wars.
Glamoth no longer exist mean planet glamoth (her planet) basically gone and destroyed invaded by the creature called swarm and that disaster called swarm disaster which almost invade and destroy the universe though already mess up half of the universe one of the planet that gone is Glamoth from this video.
in the last trailer she is alone fighting with ipc no longer as glamoth's knight but as a stellaron hunter and they are ones requesting reinforcements
Definitely my favorite animated short they have made. Its hard to really explain to you without spoiling the meaning of the animated short, but at the very least I can say that Kafka and Firefly are part of the same crew. Really enjoyed your reactions to them all!
Unfortunately the whole Firefly/SAM thing was a major plot twist that they are spoiling with every bit of marketing material

She made the seed grow, she regenerated the armor.. they were destroyed in the explosion without canceling the transformation.. and she strengthened it so that it could fly.. I don't think the destruction of the planet was his fault.. and she hibernated his body for all those years

I binged your entire Honkai playlist, I laughed and cried at some videos, especially Honkai Impact 3rd. I had a lot of fun and now I’m too mentally tired to for life.
22:03 she is Stellaron hunter together with Kafka, Blade and Silverwolf. Funny thing is - their leader Elyo is not on wanted list and IPC instructions say to not chase him or stop what hee is doing, thats how important his predictions are.
Firefly really is very well written in the game and everyone loves her. They put extra effort in her trailers because they knew people would be throwing them money to get her xD.
They let her cook in the first story chapter and then didn't develop her in-game at all after that. They sadly just let her sit there as waifu bait.
I'm hoping they actually let her really take the spotlight on a different planet.

I personally think that since there was no need to save the planet anyway she just opted for it to be destroyed rather than it to be just another breeding ground for the Swarm. But I do think she just got the power to do that at that moment.
Firefly is wanted because she is one of the Stellaron Hunters along with Elio, Kafka, Silver Wolf and Blade! When you saw Kafka in the Myriad Celestial trailer that was when she first discovered Firefly right before Elio recruited her as a Stellaron Hunter

There's a certain irony with Firefly that her best team composition is herself, her love interest (Trailblazer attuned to Harmony), her worst enemy (Ruan Mei, who was probably responsible for the Swarm that destroyed her planet), and Gallagher (who owns a pet that... well, that gets a little to into spoiler, but let's just say it didn't end well).

17:36 No canon from the sky, it was the bomb who threw the guys who got pierced. He sacrificied himself to get the bomb in place and Firefly activated. Glamoth no longer exist bc this is their final battle and everyone died.
22:00 Firefly was recovered from Kafka and joined her crew, the Stellaron Hunters. They are wanted criminals for creating many problems in many planets, rebellions, hacking etc. Though the story so far has not cleared if the SH are actually evil or have some secret noble agenta. They are presented as antiheroes.
There could be other survivors, Acheron met a few. Glamoth was a multi-planet Republic and we only saw one planet or moon get destroyed. The government is long gone, but I believe that a few Iron Cavalry survived.
Also, it was some sort of orbital laser. Look carefully. The guy's faceplate was only a target designator.

Short resume :
Glamoth was a planet under attack by the swarm, they created the mechs (SAMs) to fight the swarm
Glamoth was destroyed by the swarm in the end and Firefly join the Stellaron Hunters when Kafka find her drifting amoug the stars
It's funny you didn't notice Firefly Mech looked like Lancelot Albion from Code: Geass. I think it's heavily inspired by that.
The second trailer Firefly self-destructs to take out the rest of the Swarm. It's the last resort when all else fails. Seedling was symbolic as she "dreamed of a scorched earth." You should check out the lore around the Swarm Disaster. It won't spoil the main HSR story and it's very cool background lore to Firefly.

When you do start playing HSR you should seriously upload your play-through, even w/ min editing.
