It's not that Zenitsu was coddled like a baby so that's the only thing he responds to, it's that he's been alone his entire life and never really knew what it was like to be cared about until Jigoro, his gramps, took him in. He has no parents, they abandoned him when he was a baby. In the demon slayer official databook, it states that he has had 7 exes but all of them treated him like a slave, tricked him, robbed him of all his money, and never gave him any affection. Tanjirou is the first friend he's ever had. It's not that he only responds to being coddled, it's that he thought Tanjirou and Inosuke had abandoned him just like everyone else who's cared about him. Also, the guy who threw the peach at Zenitsu's head is named Kaigaku, and he is Zenitsu's older brother. I hope this clears things up.
Kaigaku isn't Zenitsu's older brother but an older student who was also trained by Jigoro.
Zenitsu is like someone in real life in anime like who the hecks gonna go into that forest a guy got pulled in against his will at the start😂
The thing is it's his job to go into that forest. It would be okay if he was just a civilian but he's not. He's suppose to protect these people.

What you need to understand is that Zenitsu sleeping is a plot armour for the enemies just so they don't get one shot. If he didn't have to sleep, Zenitsu would have one shot all the members of Spider family and it wouldn't even be funny, so to keep his powers in check author had to make him go sleep to unleash his full power.
What are you talking about tainjiro is stronger then zentisu and he couldnt beat rui simply because he cut of his own head and i doubt zentisu could have done anything to him because he probably would have died before he fell asleep and i doubt zentisu could even cut the red thread zentisu is strong but hes not as strong as everyone makes him out to be i mean hell he could barely beat the new upper moon 6 in the last arc if it wasnt for his new move so taking on a more experience upper moon or someone above that would be game over for him. the 3 from weakest to strongest would be 3.Inosuke,2. Zentisu 1. tainjiro from everything we saw in the manga zentisu is far inferior to tainjiro even after he overcomes hes weakness hell zentisu could barely hold his own against muzan for long and tainjro did it for like a hour alone
@@ulysses3849 Actually I'm quite sure they're pretty much on the same level. Tanjiro may be stronger but he's clearly inferior when it comes to speed which is something that would've been quite useful in the fight against Rui. Zenitsu is so fast that he could've just like Giyuu easily gotten close enough to chop Rui's head off. Question is if he would've had enough strength to cut it off and I actually don't think it's that crazy to assume he would've been strong enough to do that. I mean Tanjiro would've managed to cut Rui's head off too if he would've been fast enough to prevent Rui from doing it himself. That's why I think Zenitsu probably would've had a better chance in the Rui fight, not because he's stronger than Tanjiro but because he's hella fast and probably wouldn't have given Rui time to cut his own head off.

Zenitsu solo the uppermoon 6 kaigaku with his 7th form which he created and it easily surpasses godspeed which a buff for his first form that makes him faster. I'm talking of the speed as his strength because the point of his breathing is catching up wind at high speed to make his blade stronger, in terms of pure strength Tanjiro is stronger but it is because thunder breathing is not designed to be strong, thunder breathing consists of concetrating all of your strength in your legs to manouver around at high speeds to create a blind spot, thunder breathing cares more about quantity than strength
Speed also has to do with the power of a sword slice, if you have enough, you can slice through something way easier.
