Moving is never easy but it's always a new adventure. When I moved from Franklin, NC to Garden City, MI I rented a 25 foot truck. It broke down while driving north through Smoky Mountains National Park in the middle of winter. Rental company sent a new truck, which took 2 hours to arrive, and the driver helped me transfer everything. That took almost 4 hours. He was amazed that 2/3 of the cube was my Lego collection. I've been in my Garden City home since March 2006. I have a full basement and have no regrets about buying this place. Good luck in your new place and I will be waiting for your 1st video of 2024.
Really great vlog! Last summer I moved from the US to Europe with a Lego collection of similar size as yours. Each time I've moved I disassemble most of my city and store them in ziploc bags. It's a lot of effort but it makes packing easier and you also get the joy of experiencing the build again at the new place. I wrapped some of my newer sets in bubble wrap but I imagine plastic wrap would work just about as well. lessons learned for when I move back! Also, I totally agree with you about owning too much stuff, especially sentimental items. It's really when you move that you're really faced with what a problem it can be and I had the exact same feelings you did. Once I arrived I became motivated to declutter and for the first time I've started looking into selling some of my Lego sets.
Thank you so much for the comment! Bubble wrap is definitely safer, I think I priced them out and decided plastic wrap was cheaper and I was moving them myself so I was just careful. If you're having people move stuff for you then bubble wrap definitely provides more protection.
Haha my 3 yr old kitty like all cats loves boxes i was always puttint boxes from set delivers on my sun deck for her to play with and get in bedore finally recyling them
Haha, definitely! You just have to be as careful as possible. It wasn't without incident, but nothing major broke. But building on MILS and the plastic wrap will do a lot to ease those fears!

Congrats on the new place. Good luck and looking forward to “new” New Brickerton.
Thank you so much! It's time to rename the channel! Haha.
You better make that train of yours deliver drinks across that bar. Gl on your new place lad
I love that idea, now I definitely will! Thank you!
Glad you got moved. Don't feel bad about your Lego taking up so much space. I have been in the process of remodeling now for 3 years
It's a long process, I'm sure. The joys of homeownership! :) Thanks David!
What a Herculean endeavor!! It’s good that you had a little helper! ❤
"Helper" is a relative term but she definitely provided some moral support (and chaos.) Thanks for watching Mike!

Absolutely! Can't wait to get the city back together. Thanks for watching Studz!
Glad to see you’re getting settled in the new place. Looking forward to following your progress in the new basement.

Lol cats are so funny. So cute. Thanks for your comment!!
As someone with a lego city who has to move in every 2 years. This feels relatable
Glad you can relate. It's quite a pain! Good to hear from you black jack
Honestly picking up a freshly built set freaks me out, can’t imagine moving an entire city!!

First comment! I love your content!
Thank you!! I love you for watching!
saw the flag, NOPE! *trump dances and makes fun of liberals*
Cool :) If you're that upset by a flag, don't let the door hit you on the way out!
