Life is funny sometimes. I live in South Florida. This was my first show. I've seen many bands at this venue since that day. That night, the place wasn't even full. The lawn was sparce...the majority of the crowd was in the pavillion. I didn't see another Phish show until Red Rocks 2009. I just wasn't in a position to travel and see them back then. It was a beautiful night. Clear, breezy and warm. I wish they would play there again. I have my ticks to Augusta, Utica and Providence......
Favorite Hood- Portland Meadows 1998. That Harry Hood still resonates as the one song that defines "Phish" for me and is often the first show I show a newb.
Thank you for sharing this..❤ I’ve been listening to this version for a few years now and figured I’d look on TH-cam to see what other versions I might find. Lo and behold.. The timing of Tre’s entry into his solo at 6.31 is the sweetest. Wish I was there..
This is seriously the best Hood i've ever heard. I've head a lot of 'em, but not all of them. Inform me if you know of any greater than this masterpiece.
my god!! i cant wait for this shows Crosseyed and Painless on this DVD!!! that was considered the turning point into the "less of trey more of phish" funk jams of 97.
and i thought the 97 deer creek harry hood was the shit..but this one really trickles out in that unique phish spurty manner that captured us to begin with.. Trey used to slip in the 'skyscraper' slide notes with reckless abandon.. goddam i miss those days.. the newer shows are really good too but the golden years of late 90s are the best of PH imho
I can now say that my concerns have all been alleviated and I do in fact feel good about Hood.
Thank you,
Mr. Miner
Heaven will sound like this

This DVD is easily the best Phish DVD, and one of the best DVDs I've ever seen period.
@phish123123 New Years '93 is hands down my favorite Hood and sounds kind of like this one. I also love 2/4/93 and the one from A Live One.
Every Hood from Nov. '96 rips so damn hard.
11/16/96 Trey held a note for four minutes it was insane
This just became my favorite hood!
7/1/1995 best hood in my opinion. 95 was a great year...
Totally agree with you !

7.16.94 Sugarbush Summerstage. Best EVER! Trey's guitar work is nice on this one too though;-)
My first show and Hood !!!
I love the jam part. Trey turns on the Motion Sound Pro Leslie and turns his tone into absolutely shimmering bliss.
That was a great tour!
Fucking fantastic sound here.
Absolutely beautiful. Cant wait till Oct 19th.
