I definitely agree that AAA gaming is in decline and has been for a long time, but I think overall gaming is better than ever with the AA and indie scenes flourishing. Path of Exile 2 just launched into early access and is already incredible. Definitely one of the latest releases worth checking out. Also we need to make the time to play some more Magic. If you want to work on the basics, they have an app for digital collecting and playing, MTG Arena, that has a pretty inclusive tutorial built in. It'll run you through all the general rules and concepts in a pretty easy to learn way.
Have seen a lot of the buzz around Path of Exile, definitely gonna be giving it a good look. I really enjoyed it, I’ll download the app and see if I can get a little more familiar with it and we can run some more games.
I do agree that AAA gaming seems a bit stagnant these days. Even though I thought it was an above average game, I think Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from last year was a perfect example of this and was very formulaic.
