Looked like a fun day even though you didn’t get some kickers and WOW ! at all those boats out there where the people are watching you fish ! I knew you were famous !! 😜 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽
@@pr-fishing Not yet, sir. We have been looking for the last year-plus. Although we stopped in Sept of last year to help my Mom's house, in NY, ready to sell. She moved last week, so we can start looking again.
Man you was in some nice specks. Wish I could get enough time off work to figure out the new lake close to the house here in Florida. Keep the shows coming PR.
Sorry you didn't win the gold, but that was a nice bunch of slabs. I guess tournaments are a lot of work as well as skill and luck. But on the bright side, you got in some good practice, for whatever that is worth - ha!
for sure Loyd. thanks so much.. and yes the crappie pros are at a whole different level.. the fish for only 7 big crappie.. and will stalk them big ol' crappie..
Congratulations PR not bad grandma going to love those crappie tails.👍🎊🎉🤜🎣 just wanted to check in on Greg and family to see how they was doing and I want some Smith bro's baits and my thoughts and prayers 🙏 are still with them.
You know Paul when I was young back in the seventies I fished for a lot of crappies with live minnows and it always seems that the bigger ones hit the smaller minnow every time I put on a bigger minnow thinking I’d catch a bigger crappie I always caught a little dink
Great video. Question, what type of Garmin graph are you using? Are you happy with it? What is your recommendation for best resolution, detail without breaking the bank?
Hey.Thanks for sharing! You obviously know how and where to catch some nice fish! I'm new to the area, lake fishing and how to locate crappie. I've been scanning a lot of lake tillery for the past two months. So far, I haven't been able to locate any schools. I have learned a lot about the lake just not about where to find the fish. My typical trip I've been scanning in depths from 15-50ft following map contour lines and anywhere that might look interesting for fish. Any suggestions to help a new angler to the area?
Ronnie, great question.. start at the big bridge.. i caught several good ones there.. now on the schooling fish. you have to ride and find them but I can tell you I found them before that marina and grill store on the right going down the lake. thanks
I’m sure you’ve been asked this before but how big is that beautiful crappie on your wall? Also, what was the maximum number of fish that could be weighed at the derby as I’m not at all familiar with crappie derby/tournament fishing. Thanks for the great vid! Looked like all the anglers were very respectful to not intrude on water being fished by others.
Great question, 50 feet maybe.. 50 to 100 feet.. but all was fine that morning.. the fish or school of fish are moving pretty fast.. if you caught a fish from a school, they would disappear before I could get back up on the trolling motor.. thanks
Love your adaptation from “old school” to new technology. Great transition! Dennis on Lake Austin
thanks Man, just had to do it...

to funny John, but it happens at times.. now them fish are feeding up getting ready for the spawn..
Great video. Question, what type of Garmin graph are you using? Are you happy with it? What is your recommendation for best resolution, detail without breaking the bank?
Dennis, I went with a combo from bass pro shop.. the live scope and a 93sv graph.. Bass pro still has that combo. thank you sir..
Where did you buy your mount for the live scope screen and where did you order the pole for the transducer? Thanks for your reply.
the mount is called Stowaway XL, you can youtube it. no pole the transducer is mounted on my trolling motor..
Nice catch. what boat landing did you put in at?
its called whitney landing.
You were talking about wind? Don’t see any!
it got going in the afternoon.. didn't tape much in the wind..

@@pr-fishing thank you for sharing your experience! As for riding to find schools, do you scan at speed or 3-5 mph?
@@ronniewetherington509 yes sir, with side scan.
Nice feesh
yes sir....
Do you think they are bitting under the bridge at tamarack?
They should be heading that way real soon to spawn..

yes sir, a great bunch of folks.. we weigh 7 fish.. and the one of my wall was 3.2 pounds. thanks man..
How close can you fish to competitors in a tournament. Great job.....

I've tried to order some smith bro baits can't find web site anymore. Can you help me out with a way to contact them. Thanks and great video
James, I am sorry but Smith Bros are done for the time being.. Family issues come first..
