I haven't fished since i was like 7. I live right by the lake i need to get my license and get back into it but i have no clue where to even start

I finally found some fish that would BITE. They would not hit anything but a 1/32 oz beetle spin with a black body and chartreuse curly tail. They would not take a jig????? Put out 15 different PVC trees in my favorite lake last week. I hope they move in on them this winter.

Went out Tuesday water was too high to go under bridges. Found some deeper but wouldn't bite. Almost got skunked only caught a couple. Put in near route 8, is there better spot to launch? Any tips other than shallow?

My fish have disappeared !!!! Fished hard this morning and found 1 school caught 7 off of it. Retraced my path and still no fish. Going to have to explore more of the delta here in South Alabama. Great show.
