I used the same cleaner but a Dremel tool instead which spins at a very high RPM ....used a small soft pad and polished 3 times for about 2 minutes each ...perfect and the small pad gets the entire lens evenly
Thank you so much for your post. I would not have had the courage to put sandpaper to the lens without having seen you do it first. And then following up with the "Maguires" product to finish the job. I love You Tube and all of the people who take the time to post
I've used bug repellent on headlights (the more Deet the better, ie Deep Woods Off) on headlights to polish before. I may try the Dremel and some Off and see how it goes!

What type pad for the dremel?

Thanks. I was hesitant to use the sandpaper as well as tried the polish first, but it needed a bit more cleaning power.
This worked great. I used wet 2000 grit instead to be conservative, and it cleared right up. Thanks!!!
Nice work!
I used the same method as Gary Day, and used Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish. Worked very well.
Did this with 2000 grit and some light oil. Now I have a better view than it was when new. Thanks!
Good to hear. Mine is getting a little foggy and I have some 1500 and 2000 ready to fine tune that camera.
Thanks so much for video was very hesitant to use sandpaper. Tried a million other things.
Its time for mine to get a refresher. I'll use 2000 grit and see how clear it can get.

I wet sanded with 3000 then polished with Meguires Plastic polish ... 15 minutes later good as new. Thank you for the video.
Good to hear. Mine needs a redo and I plan to use a finer grid.
I used a magic eraser! 1$ fix
Nice fix. We use those to clean behind kids and dogs.
That was the first thing I tried and didn't work, also with toothpaste and steel wool, no improvement. I'll try with sand paper next.
I didn’t use sand paper just the plastix and Dremel
1500 wet sand worked perfectly. Wish I could post my before and after photos. Didn't even need to polish after.
These cameras suck. Never again.
I hope the new cameras on the market are better than this one.
only made it much worse. Do not do this.
Please elaborate... What was the issue with this fix?
