The scene with the school children at the Longreach school is significant because this is where QANTAS began in 1920.
A really lovely reaction, and don't worry, it gets an emotional reaction from most people (especially Aussies)! I think this message can resonate with anyone, no matter if you're Australian or not, because the sentiment is universal - no matter where you travel in life, a big part of your heart will always lie with your home country. :)

Song was originally released by Soul Family Sensation from the UK but Wendy’s version is the best. First saw her as a backup singer for John Farnham

Peter Allen wrote - I Still Call Australia Home in 1980. Peter passed away in 1992.
There is a vid of Peter talking about the song, watched it years ago in Australia from memory, might still be on TH-cam.

Believe it or not this version of the song was an Ad for an airline. I still reckon the earlier version of the Ad is better with just the kids choir, but the song brings tears to eyes of people who aren't even Aussie.
