    So glad you did this ... Also, being a Scanned Owner ... it is good seeing someone like you (with a ton of experience in modules) fiddling with the knobs on this randomly at points trying to see if something happens. Also ... I never figured out how "inject" works ... so I am so happy you showed that!

    • @DivKid

      Thanks David appreciate that. I often just twiddle knobs and see what happens! :) haha

      Nah Wiggle isn't a Nick Batt word, PWM and Fulsome they're the Nick terms right?

    • @krouzer_

      Very true, especially PWM. It was more your enthusiasm and the manner you said it that reminded me of Nick.

    Thank you for this, and a big thanks for the creative people at Qu-bit for putting in the work to make this very special method of synthesis available in Eurorack! I've been playing with this for a week and can't get enough of it! It makes such an amazing palette of sounds that you want more than one of these modules... That's probably also why it pairs extremely well with a nice delay with super long time, a really huge reverb or even a looper! That way you can get all those very different sounds heard simultaneously. I found that using the v/o input with a very slow stepped random almost creates a pseudo mode/preset change feeling since the entire thing responds very differently in extreme register differences. And even though it totally doesn't "need" filtering, its wildness can either be tamed or pushed further with a filter. I couldn't stop going bonkers using Scanned with WMD Aperture and I can't wait to try it with QPAS, let's see :-) Anyways, just wanted to share my enthusiasm with you all! Thank you again Ben for another great demo!

    • @DivKid
      @DivKid  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great! You're right that it pairs nicely with filtering, as does anything so potentially rich in harmonics. Low pass gates and softer low pass slopes I like 2 pole is nice with no resonance. But of course high passing and having so many higher harmonics to make higher percussive things is really nice too.

I am very excited to hear more of their new fractal sequencer; any chance you'll demo it? Thinking of pairing that sequencer with the upcoming 4ms Spherical Wavetable Navigator in a Pod.

    I'm wondering if I should get the Scanned or the Cursus Iteritas.

    Which is better to get in terms of variety of sounds ?

      The Scanned made me sell my cursis Iteritas percido. The scanned is a amazing “macro oscillator” for a better price than the CIP. The scanned is a main stay for sure. It is amazing thru an LPG , it can do pretty much anything.

    Hey! I was reading on a modwiggler forum about Scanned having some clicking problems, and Qu-bit never really addressing the problem. Have you heard or had any of these problems with your unit? Really wanting to grab this module, but worried that this so-called click problem could be a real problem.

    • @DavidSanchez-dn9bc
      @DavidSanchez-dn9bc ปีที่แล้ว

      Just received one couple days ago and definitely can here some clicks.
      I contacted Qu-Bit support and they are aware of the issue and there's no fix for it.
      Still like the module and I am towards keeping it. It is such a different approach to sound design that I think deserves some love.
      Love the feeling of dealing with such an untamed machine.

    • @DavidSanchez-dn9bc
      @DavidSanchez-dn9bc ปีที่แล้ว
