KUSA made it like that on purpose. You'll have to depress the safety plunger before you see the firing pin protruding. They made it like that to prevent OOB detonation. Same concept as a pistol slide on glock and etc.
I'm actually considering disabling / removing the OOB safety system just to avoid this problem. In 30+ years I've never owned a 9mm PCC or any AK platform firearm that had one .....and have never had an OOB detonation. I can see how it might offer some protection if you're using a binary trigger, which might over-run resulting in hammer follow-thru however
Mine just broke and KUSA doesnt exist anymore and ive spent hours looking online for someone who may make them, no luck... Ill have to get real creative I guess.
Just came across this video after breaking my firing pin, you still own this gun? Did it break again? I know that kusa ended up fixing the firing pin but since I live in another country I can’t have my bolt fixed :(

Yes, that’s why it keeps breaking due to heavy hammer hits.

Nah, look up Kdgunwerx. He makes an aftermarket firing pin that should work.
