This might help I don't know. After a lifetime of living in the Philippines one of the things I learned was that Filipino girls have a totally different definition of what a lie is. I was told by one Filipina that "It's not a lie if you have a good reason" and that was how she determined or judged if something was a lie or not. When is the last time you ran into someone who was lying that wouldn't tell you they had a good reason for saying something that just was not true? Lying has become very prevelant in our world today, it would seem that litterally everyone in 2025 LIES on a regular basis. I personally hate LIES as we make all our other decissions based on the information we have gathered and if it's all Lies, then it's hard to make a good decission. Having filipino's ask you where you are going, everytime you step out of your apartment can be seen as pretty intrusive coming from strangers or neighbors you barely know, but yeah, that is part of life in the Philippines. What are you doing, where are you going is just a filipino's way of making "Normal" conversation it would seem. If you want to have some fun with them just answer something simple, like "It's a screct" or my perfered answer if to say something stupid like, "I'm going to feed my Elephant" or "I have to check on my Elephant" or "I have to give my elephant a bath" That's how I dealt with it for many years.
