So gonna keep this all 100. I'm a middle aged white dude grew up on G&R this is one of my favorite songs from highschool for sure. That's Slash. If you don't know who he is, look him up. He's simply one of the best. He's actually from England and mixed race, which I didn't know till I read his biography (which is one of the best I've ever read cause he talks alot about the music). Here's what he says about it. "Of his mixed background, Slash later remarked, "As a musician, I've always been amused that I'm both British and black; particularly because so many American musicians seem to aspire to be British while so many British musicians, in the 'Sixties in particular, went to such great pains to be black." Half & Jai, If you want to check out his autobiography and can't find it, I will definitely send you mine lol. I've got his autobiography and both of Nikki Sixx's books, Heroin Diaries and This Is Gunna Hurt. All great reads if you're interested lol.

Police brutality, drugs, crime, all the things many associate with the hood are represented in this video. White, black, Latino, whoever, the poor and the underrepresented are always victimized and marginalized. Lyrically, this song is far deeper than many people realize. and the instrumental flow is off the charts as well.
