    You are totally right that it needs a chasing LED.
    If you run a polymeric pattern against it and mute kick and snare, you have no idea when to drop back in.

    Great into. That example beat slams

    What's making that Boards of Canada esque lead? Definitely slaps.

    I have a Stolperbeats. I need to put it back in my case. There’s some things about it that bother me yet perfect modules are subjective. I wish you could divide and multiply the clock per channel, I wish you could program ratchets opposed to its fixed setting. The mute expander is very cool. It appears as an afterthought but a good one.

    I wish the Stolperbeats had an encoder to dial in the amount of swing which it will apply to the groove.

    • @WillisZzz
      @WillisZzz ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't?? I thought I saw him dial in from straight to more and more shuffled on his custom beat near the end...

    • @distorson
      @distorson ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WillisZzz hm, maybe I missed it. But I was wishing for a way to gradually change the amount of swing. Not switching between the swing presets like he is doing around 11:13

    • @distorson
      @distorson ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Like the percentage function in Ableton where you can apply the amount of the swing pattern in percentage from 1 to 100.

    • @WillisZzz
      @WillisZzz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@distorson yeah, I want that too, so I can dial in the slop according to the samples and tempo, and general feel of the tune...

    Great review. Ive never used modular before. I’d like to use this to program drums into the SP404MK2. Someone else told me that it doesn’t produce sound natively, that I’d need another drum module.
    So far I understand that I’ll need housing with power. But it seems that the SD card can have sounds loaded to run through stopler. Is that correct? In which case all I need to do is sync to the SP. Thank you in advance.

      No. The Stolperbeats makes voltages to control another device which makes the sounds. But also it can send MIDI out which is a digital code, and send it into your SP404 to play the pads on your SP404.

    So, you can't step program custom beats on the front panel?
    Lovin the beats! And the album recommendations too, so thanks all around ✌️

    Does a high-pitched whine come from your Stolperbeats front-plate? Mine is whining.

    I’ve never used modular setups before. Is there a rack that hold this a single unit? This module is the only thing I need.

      Yes, 4MS makes any size box.

    Guessing Dilla’s lawyers got involved which is why it’s called “trip” now?
