- In the northeast area of Catalonia, Spain are the cobbled streets of the ancient city of Girona. In its sleepy suburbs and hidden behind fortress-like walls, lies a modern food revolution- El Celler De Can Roca. Twice voted the best restaurant in the world, with three Michelin stars, and with an 11-month waiting list its sure to be worth the wait! Elsewhere, in Northern Japan, one five-star hotel boasts three separate Michelin star restaurants under the same roof.

Funny how some people are saying 'this is mad expensive' etc.
Yes, it is a lot of money for a meal, but relatively speaking, despite its international acclaim, El Celler De Can Roca is actually one of the cheaper world class restaurants (relatively speaking).
Currently €280 for the 'feast' tasting menu with over a dozen courses (so about £240). You want really expensive, go to a triple starred Michelin place for dinner in NYC or Paris.
Preparing food like an artist paints a picture or as a sculpture is sculpted. Beautiful. But me, I am a simple person; give me some great northern beans, mac and cheese and something green and I'm satisfied. Or give me a family owned Italian place with red and white table cloths. Oh, and a big slice of cheesecake. Not saying that I wouldn't enjoy the experience of these restaurants, I am sophisticated enough to appreciate what they do, I just want "scoops" not "bites". 😋 I want to eat with gusto. I'm afraid I would be intimidated with some of the fragile delicacies, even the artsy plating. Loved the video by the way, absolutely gorgeous.
They are living and making moves in their only life. ❤
eating russian and chips while watching this
I wish I could visit some of these fine restaurants. The food looks sumptuous.
you should drink 3 gallons of bleach beforehand. It'll help cleanse your palate.
are they in LAS VEGAS?
I'll make up my own fine dining
that's sick, being the chemist behind the food
Cellar can Rocca for me was a disapointment ! I loved Abac and Quique da costa !
If I am paying that much for a meal I don't want the food to look like the Chef is having a bad acid trip, Hahahahahahahaha 😂!!!
The erhu is not a native instrument of Japan, the sound is distinctly Chinese not Japanese, a bit jarring to hear in an intro for a Japanese restaurant.
Right. I was so offended. Out of touch orientalism.. so ignorant it’s almost racist
Italy has best restaurants of course the critics always have french bias
And of course you have your Italian bias, food is subjective
I'm not going to comment because I'm just jealous I can't afford to go there.. haha!! 🇺🇲🇺🇦🌍✌
You shouldn't be jealous. Being jealous of this makes you an idiot.
tripoter en cachette une cerise avec les doigts, pour ensuite vous la faire manger...
None of the top 3000 restaurants are in Vegas. If they are in the list they bribed someone. 🤢🤮
A waste of money ! Some of the best food and memories are with simple foods and with people you love
I’d argue the most memorable meals I’ve had are at nicer restaurants with unique flavours. What’s wrong with experiencing different things as a luxury instead of going to the same places and ordering the same food
@@BDAKs24 Noting wrong with it But is a waste of money specifically if you look at some of the so called gourmet meals these ppl are serving in this video . Micro minute portion , gimmicky nonsense and outrageous pricing does not equal unique flavor or luxury.
@@MsSaudm I think your forgetting the huge number of staff working to produce these meals, compared to maybe 1-2 chefs and a waiter in a normal restaurant and of course the best ingredients you can possibly get, not Costco or some whole sailer like alot of normal restaurants, and the money spent on decor. Plus the fact alot of these restaurants don't open every day of the week and some don't do lunch, only evening. Add that all up and you have why it's expensive. Surely not difficult to figure out
After you eat at most these restaurants, you get a deep dish because you are literally still hungry.
They actually hear this quite often. in another video, they weight all the courses and were shocked it came to nearly 3.5 lbs (1.6k) of food!... so no.. you wont leave hungry.
@@lenudanexactly. Always funny seeing these comments because the people who make them have obviously never been to do a proper tasting menu.
I've been lucky enough to go to about seven Michelin restaurants and I have never left any less than full. One in particular, in Paris, I ate so much at their lunch service that I skipped dinner.
Ugh!
Did she say when you think of Michelin star Japan doesn’t come to mind, sorry to say, but she’s clueless
Exactly, ignorant woman...after France, Japan has the highest number of Michelin stars. Tokyo is also the city with the most 3* Michelins.
Worlds Best Restaurant is a subjective statement..This is like saying the worlds most beautiful woman..one could never know that unless they have seen every single woman in the world..I can tell you that this is not the best restaurant in the world because McDonalds is..haha
Lq
That's where I would end up because I wouldn't be full of them lil rabbit food experiments
more like the world's lamest restaurant.
😂😂😂 waste of money for those who have it to waste !!
This food turns me off. Their hands are all over everything.
Yep, that hands free cooking is the best way to go. Try cooking all your meals for a week without using your hands, then tell me how that works out for you?! Hahahahahahahaha 😂!!!
160 to 190 Euros for What??? I take my hat off to these guys they have a great scam going and I hope that they can continue. This kind of restaurant is for the people who THIMK that they are Gourmets, and don't want anyone to think that they don't understand and appreciate this high-class dining experience. I am interested in the quality of the ingredients, the preparation, and the presentation, all of this art stuff means nothing. If I want to eat I go to a restaurant if I want to see art I go to a museum, and I never confuse the two.
