I check rod play up and down and spin the crank when the top end is off to see everything is spinning freely and there is no up and down slack in the lower rod bearing. I've been told the cranks go around 900 hrs. Main bearings last a very long time unless the left side crank seal goes south and the bike sucks air causing a lean condition. This is noticeable by the performance of the engine and the lean condition can be felt throughout the powerband at that point its time to tear the bike down and rebuild the bottom of the motor
@@painsrides3616 Im not planning although I will rebuild the bottom of the engine when I feel a change in performance or hear any noises that would lead me to believe its time to split the cases
