It's the new mono red. But instead of having to wait five minutes for them to decide on whether to put the Embercleave on the Anax or the Fervent Champion, you have to wait a full minute after every action because they always have something they can do but they're not really clever enough to think of the best thing right away.
This deck is awesome! I only have 2 Ugins so I put in 2 Komas in the missing spots as an alternative to hit off the ultimatum. I'm impressed how well it survives against aggro deck despite having no sweepers. Oh I also put a single copy of crush the weak for the aggro decks.

The way the game is built if you have over 25 lands in your deck the shuffler will flood you more often. Might have been the goal with the high mana cards but might be worth dropping to 24 lands and sticking some more removal for this deck?
Obviously, since you have more land. But going down to 24 won't work, except once in a blue moon with the perfect draw : you basically NEED to drop a land or Cultivate every turn until you reach Ultimatum / Ugin mana if you want to win.
Been playing an Orzhov version of this deck for some months. Black has better, more consistent removal and though the ramp is a little slower, white has the life gain to help overcome early aggro.
For the first rogue game, why didn't you hard-cast Shark Typhoon when you had the chance? You would have run away with the game from there just in terms of pressure? Every spell you cast from then on out is a 2-3 turn clock that has to be answered. Maybe I'm missing something!

This is what I've been playing all season! Except w/ a lot more control like 4x essence scatter, bonecrusher instead of Fire Prophecy, beanstalk giant instead of cultivate, and running goldspan and terror of peaks dragons. So I guess it's a pretty different deck aside from ramping into Genesis....
The good thing is, even if you don't hit permanents with it, it's still a draw 5. And you usually hit 1-3 untapped lands which means if you do draw a removal spell + lands you can usually cast it on their next turn.
@@timeslowingdown Both Solid points. I think the key is to have versatility in your permanents. So you can be as responsive or aggressive as you need to. Cragpate is a great closer, but he can be overwhelmed or irrelevant against alot of decks. CGB's list is quite good imo, tho I do think I would find a slot for Garruk, Unleashed or The Royal Scions, maybe Chandra, Heart of Flame. Something out of vogue to catch players off guard.
@@danlewis7707 I play cragplate in sultai sometimes, the main advantage of it imo is to get around a control mirror where they bold up counterspells, you can sometimes just slam it for 10 and hit the opponent. Not having trample sux tho so sometimes it ends up being useless

Just wanted to share that my last opponent in silver tier 1 was a monored player who was on the play and should absolutely have won except they used a Hall Moniter on thier own Bonecrusher in true monored brain fashion. They shame scooped after reading the card... XD
I have a janky build I like, with the saga that shoots every non-giant for 4 and the one that destroys lands And, of course, the sky noodle, to reset them
In my elf ramp deck I can get vorinclex out on turn 3 then ugin out on turn 4 with 14 loyalty counters on him, immediately pop off him big ability and watch the opponent's quit
You should do the Tibalt's Trickery deck but without any hits just to see how many players give up when they see it. Ornithopter is my favorite ultimatum hit
That's basically suicide since people would only concede if you actually get a proper hit, they know that you can still hit a trickery, crypt, or ornithopter so they will wait and see first
So you've watched the entire show, and didn't realize for one second that the vast majority of characters/stands from it have their name based on a musician/band/song? That's kinda sad tbh, when an anime is too clever for you.
Chainer looks more like an overcosted Bone Crusher ideal target, IMHO. He might see play in some "creature combo" deck, but otherwise he will be collecting dust with all the others creatures of his kind. Reminds me of the Strixhaven 2UU 2/2 that have magecraft : draw a card. Awesome in a Ux deck, right ? But nobody plays it for a reason.

My favorite hit is five lands, as that seems to be my regular hits. Bonus point for scrying the same thing on top three times in a row.
I have a Genesis Ultimatum deck that is a lot more creature focused and uses Terror of the Peaks. Quandrix Cultivator is real nice in it.

yep, that's why I only bought one. I really like it, easy to tutor and card draw in top decking.
