That will smith video was a joke bro, he did it himself, sora won't change any industry its a tool for memes, they handpick the videos aswell its a marketing scheme, openai will never deliver a realistic video ai because they use probability to generate their videos, life doesn't work on probability, i mean theyre really close and obviously this is huge and i couldnt replicate it in a million years, but it still has big flaws, unusable in the long run unless for memes and ads
Agree with the Will Smith video but I have to respectfully disagree that sora, as well as other ai video generators, in the long run won't affect the rich media industry. This is coming from someone who currently works in video and animation production. Tyler Perry cancelled a $800 million studio expansion after seeing sora and said jobs will be lost. At my company we are constantly talking about AI and its impact on our industry in the future. Sora in its current form isn't a threat but Sora in 5 or 10yrs is a major threat.
