It’s so crowded but I feel okay because Japanese people have piece of mind and wait for people who get off.
In China ,nobody wait for people get off.

My friend told me to avoid this line especially in the morning which is why even though it took longer, I used to take the JR circle line.

And to think I just read a local article saying the subways here in New York are overcrowded. Yes, I do think it's crowded here, but it's nothing like this and other videos show Tokyo. At least here in New York we have room to breathe.

At least they're nice about it. In Beijing, everyone just runs into it before they get out.

At least Japanese rail passengers don't throw themselves through droplight door windows with their legs dangling out in the air when the train is moving off !
I've seen this happen here on 'rush' hour commuter service trains - and a lot worse I can assure you !

well i can invite you to see even worse thing in Argentinean conmmuters, if you enter the "sarmiento line" you will enter to another country.
now thing are better but a couple of years ago (before the 2012 once rail disaster in wich 51 people died because the brakes didn't apply at terminus sta and 1 car telescoped)
trains used to run with dorrs opened, often you listen local and foreigner music very loud from cellphones, illegal sellers walking on train offering beer, hot dogs and snacks, mother giving the tis to their kids for milk in front of the other conmmuters.

Yes, I remember that awful rail crash - there is video footage of it. Rail crashes are unfortunately a fact of life for all railways worldwide. Most are caused through operating procedures not being adhered to, or short cuts being taken - due to over familiarisation of work practices. Some, like the Japan rail crash in Tokyo, were due to an inexperienced young driver under severe pressure to 'keep to time' and excessive bullying by managers who threatened the particular driver with losing his job.
There have been too many 'accidents' here recently - I myself dispatched one such fateful train ( Paddington rail crash ) and I sometimes wonder if I had held that train for another 30 seconds, that crash may not have been avoided.
OK, thanks for your reply. If you ever get a chance, read a very interesting book by R.C. Rolt "Red for Danger "

    I'm Osaka Jin(People), but I don't use this line.
I handle so as not to encounter this hell because I know other avoidance lines.
