Fun fact, Blake shouldn't have been able to use her semblance because her aura was down. She would have legitimately been decapitated.

Little late replying to this, but I think the whole Velvet's weapon reveal was something anticipated by people who either contributed to or were at least aware of that Velvet costume contest and the volume 2 production diaries, both of which took place before volume 2 premiered. A majority of these TH-camrs didn't even start watching the show until right before volume 3 premiered, so they probably were not even aware that was a thing.
I like how in the midst of everyone shouting you just hear the girl singing "I may fall!" 😂

I love how everyone in the beginning was all cheering for the bad assert but then shift to sad and terrified over time.

Torchwick was eaten by a Grimm (I really liked him because of Neo).
Neo flew away because of her umbrella.
Beacon has fallen.
My heart has shattered into a million pieces.
My soul was ripped from my body.
Tears have flown and flooded my room.
This still happens even when I rewatch it. Volume 3 killed me emotionally

"The timing of that scene was PERFECT. When you throw one chaotic scene after another, and you make your audience forget Blake's semblance just for that split second, probably one of the most elaborate pranks by the animation team thus far. Later in time when you watch someone like Torchwood react to this, in a time when you're not as caught up in the moment as you were when you watched that episode the first time, you get to witness what true horror looks like, and we get a kick outta that."
Still don't see how this is Jaune's fault.

Yeah, even rooster teeth point out on the live stream that it's not Jaune's fault, saying that who would not turn around and react to pryha's screaming during that time.
So anyone who blame that on Jaune are dumb pricks.
+AlexThat200 Not to mention that he only looked away for a couple of seconds. It's a long corridor; she couldn't have come that far in just the few seconds Jaune was distracted. She probably had Emerald come down with her to cause Jaune to not see them. Additionally, Jaune was there to protect Pyrrha. He hears her screaming in pain behind him. The natural reaction is to look around to see what's happening.
I mean it kinda was regardless.

Surely I am not the only one that thinks Velvet's weapon is similar to Guilty Crown (Season 2 Ep. 8) when Shu Ouma copies the voids of others and it is a mere outline of the weapon. Which in all honestly I think was bloody brilliant for RWBY, seriously #TeamVelvet!!!

Legit the only show that has scared the ever living shit out of me. When it all goes to shit, and then when Blakes head is chopped off, I had an actual heart attack and it hurt me a lot
Anyone wanting to find a good RWBY reactor to watch go watch MurderOfBirds (directly right of the video) He is so invested in RWBY and RedVsBlue (another RoosterTeeth series) he is absolutely amazing and you won’t find anyone other reactor like him.

Only two reactions here I don't particularly like A. Flamingshark cause he does not stop talking at all and B. The girl below storm light cause when velvet shows her weapons or weiss' summoning she doesn't react to it at all in any way she keeps singing the song the entire time

The next episode proves that Cinder's arrow can move around and through stuff in its way so it wouldn't have mattered if Jaune saw Cinder coming. Even if Jaune were to block the arrow, it would simply move around him and hit Amber anyway.
It was a lose-lose situation.
