One thing I love about this arc is that it's the first time you get to see how the monogatari world and story look from another character's perspective. There's way less ecchi because it's not Araragi, there are way more flashing conflicted internal monologue cards as compared to Araragi, there are actually a few background characters, and the ending is perfect because Araragi comes in like some kind of God damn hero or knight in shining armor which makes perfect sense for an ending from Hanekawa's perspective. And he's only there for like 3 minutes but basically steals the show. It's a nice way to show how important he is to her and the positive impact he has on her, despite his flaws.

The tiger introduces himself in the same way as the cat from 吾輩は猫である (Wagahai wa neko de aru) / "I am a cat." by 夏目(Natsume)漱石(Souseki). It's a very famous book, a great satire on the era of the meiji restoration seen through the eyes of a teacher and a cat, and its first line is even more famous by itself.
「吾輩は猫である。名前はまだ無い。どこで生れたかとんと見当がつかぬ。」(Wagahai wa neko de aru. Namae wa mada nai. Doko de umaretaka tonto kentou ga tsukanu.) / I am a cat. I do not have a name yet. I have no notion where I was born.
It's important to shine light at the fact that this cat is speaking in an incredibly pompous manner. Even at the time (the end of the 19th century) 吾輩 (wagahai) was considered an incredibly pompous pronoun to describe oneself.
Here, Ishin references it by having the tiger say: 「吾輩は虎である。名前はカコ。どこで生まれたか見当がついている。」 (Wagahai wa tora de aru. Namae wa kako. Doko de umaretaka kentou ga tsuiteiru.) The sentences are basically the same, except that 猫 (cat) is replaced by 虎(tiger), that Kako knows his name (which can also be written as 過去, meaning past, thus the history tiger. Since 虎 (tora/tiger)'s On'yomi reading is コ (ko).), and that the third sentence changes quite a bit, to become "I have a good notion of where I was born."
The following is also pretty much what the cat says in the book up until "I consist only of, etc". I can't find my copy though and only know the very first three sentences by heart so you'll have to take my word on that.
    Classical japanese literary references yeah!
The book is really good and a lot of fun, I highly recommend it. It's easy to get a copy on book depository for a pittance. And it's filled with great characters, like Meitei who is an absolute fucking legend of a man.

It was at the moment Koyomi arrived like a superhero when I realized how much I missed him.
Great reaction as always, can't wait for more crazy theories like "Hanekawa's mysterious sister"

The 'Tadaima' I'm home phrase has lots of meanings behind, like recognising one's home, being happy to return or saying 'this is the place I'm glad to return to'

Really like the changes in lyrics in the op here; I don't remember they do it for other ops? At least none we've seen here so far.
