This is done so the development cost of Concord can be considered as a tax write-off. A company must have a certain amount of revenue and profitability at the end of the year for this amount to be written off. This is why Sony is pushing out anything and everything out hoping they'll meet these breakpoints in time. Hopefully this makes sense.
Can't you carry over tax write-offs? I think you can do that on the stock market, if you have more realized losses in a year than realized gains you offset the tax for gains for the year and carry over the rest to the next year.
Serious question. Why would a company who loses money continue with something that continues to lose them money? Are they not a business? One would think they would abandom this disgusting ideology. Are they afraid of someone? What is their end game?
- By following DEI they get low interest loans from Blackrock, that's the primary thing they're interested in. - Many western governments also offer tax breaks if you meet certain DEI breakpoints for hiring practices. - unprofitable projects are tax write-offs off that big companies expect and rely on. When you add it all up, they only need DEI projects to make a little money in order to end up being profitable to the company in the big picture. I would love to see some serious breakdown of the finances behind these types of companies and their projects. Just knowing individual projects' budgets and sales figures only gives us a small amount of insight into what's really going on.
