Can't believe Oasis never took the chance to play a "Paul is dead" clip backwards...with Noel's cheekiness I would have thought they would've slipped something like that in somewhere!
Looks like James is still afraid of playing the Beatles backwards. He might find that "All Together Now" says "I Buried Paul".
I’ve always wondered what the backward lyrics are in the DYKWIM? outro, love all the crazy sound effects and layers upon layers of guitars in that song. Can’t wait for some content on the song, definitely one of my favourites!

10:58 - On the cassette version the B side starts with the slow backwards effect. I think it meant to freak you out that the deck is eating your brand new tape... or at least that's how I reacted :)

The f*ckin hell in Some Might Say is taken from the start of the demo version which Noel sings. It's included on the Japanese version of the single.

In my oppinion, Flashbax whistling solo is not reversed. The "reversed" version that you show in the video actually sounds more reversed than the original one...you know what I mean? Yeah yeah....the echo definitely sounds weird as you say but it must be a production trick. Great video!!

I'm not sure but I'd always thought the shock of the lightning snippet thing was that thing you do with a delay pedal where you mess with the time knob to mess with the pitch and then turn the amount up all the way to make it repeat forever

6:12 - Whistle into a microphone, reverse it, add reverb, then reverse it back. I do that trick with vocals - The whistling is forwards, only it's reverb is reversed.

It is the drums when the verse comes in. It's nwa slowed down and looped up.

The Best one was a Fluke apparently on The Masterplan!! Gem even does it Live!! He's my favourite Lead Guitarist, Very Underatted n can write A Tune or 2!! Also on The Shine On John Lennon Gig, when The Phonics, Noel n Gem did I'm Only Sleeping!! He even played that live Too!! Quality!! Also it's Johnny Marr on Probably All In The Mind and Born On A Different Cloud!! Thanks Again James

All In The Mind solo was played by Johnny Marr, I don't think it's backwards, it's just him and his tricks and effects.
Personally I had no idea that any of it was backwards. Shows that if you’re not that good at listening, or perhaps wasn’t at all aware of certain tricks, you are less likely to detect them as backwards...
More beatles influences. Don't get me wrong I like a lot of oasis tracks. They spearheaded a great time in music what was called britpop from the middle of the '90s to the end of the '90s. Oasis, the verve, blur, ocean colour scene, pulp, cast, kula shaker. There was always some good music being released. A very good time in my life.😊

Great video. I took inspiration from the reversed guitar solo on the Masterplan for a song of mine. It does take some thought to make it work but it worked surprisingly well when I flipped it. I only had to make one cut and copy of a small section.

In the reversed version of your clip, you can hear how the whisteling ends awkwardly. Seems that Flashbax has some kind of gate or limiter, IMHO

On my US cd of WTSMG the “Fucking Hell” is at at the end of the first swamp song excerpt and not SMS
In liams song.... One of us.....there is backmasking in the intro of the song
So theres a nice demo of SMS where its noel and liam singing the whole song together and at the beginning its Noel saying "f'in hell"

The solo in "(Probably) All in the Mind" is played by Johnny Marr (not Gem), I always made him responsible for *that* guitar sound.
He's also on Born On A Different Cloud! Johnny's Class Man! Cheers

Oasis was a decent rock band but I don't think they were as big in the US as they were in England. I think some Brits think they were bigger than they actually were. The weren't like the Beatles or Nirvana. I did like them but those brothers were idiots fighting all the time. Made them seem like some idiot football fans that share a brain. I hope they finally grew up.

Noel is Admittedly Rudimental but he makes good sounds with his wah wah n whatever! You know what I Mean Yeah Yeah lol

And it was Weller that said Noels very Rudimentary on the Guitar but Really Good at finding those chords! Personally I prefer Gem on lead but Noel knows how to make it Sound good with simple but effective ways! What do you Reckon? Just for a good talk instead of Arguing n Talking Shit! Cheers 🍻
