THUNDERCLOUD CEILING DIY TUTORIAL: CREATING THE EFFECT WITHOUT RUINING YOUR CEILING

I'm sure that everyone has seen this DIY Tutorial thundercloud effect all over the internet, TikTok, and TH-cam. However, I wanted to share with you a way to achieve the same effect of the a thundercloud covered ceiling, but without ruining the actual ceiling. Most of the videos I've seen have people either sticking or stapling everything to the ceiling. Well....that's all fine and well, but what happens when you get tired of it or the fad is done? One, its going to be a lot of work peeling all that down. Two, the damage of peeled paint and holes in the drywall where it wouldn't come down is going to be a mess. Third, now you have to fix all that!!!
My method uses panels of chicken wire that are stuffed with the fiber stuffing and hang slightly down from the ceiling. This eliminates all the glue, staples, or what ever was used in the other methods. The use of small "J" hooks that screw into the ceiling make it convenient to take down the panels and filling the small holes with a bit of putty is easier and less damaging.
Also, the panels give the clouds a rolling effect since the panels bend and are not flat. Another advantage is that the LED strips are on the ceiling and not touching the actual panels. This creates a buffer so that there is less chance of any sort of possibility of fire.
As a disclaimer I am not saying that my method is fireproof in any way, LED lights are traditionally not fire hazards and the fiber material is "FLAME RETARDANT" NOT! "NON-FLAMMABLE" . This being said you are creating this effect at your own risk. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

Thank you for this! I want to put my ceiling together without using a board and spray adhesive; I appreciate an easy and chemical free way of enhancing my room. Off to get some chicken wire!
I did mine by putting all of the LED+cotton on a 4x8 of the thinest board I could find at home depot for $13 a sheet. 4 small drywall screws and its installed and easily removed if I ever need it to be.

What do you mean by the full pattern? The LED's or something else?

I'll use chicken wire on my next one but I'm thinking of using rope "LED" lights; maybe do a box frame.

Really well, no sagging or anything, only had to repair one panel, but that was because my son's cat some how managed to jump from his left bed and try to get on the panel. Easy fix though, otherwise no other issues.
Does the fiber fill rain down fiber? How much did you need for your ceiling for reference?
The stuffing fiber does not fall down, but each panel I put up took between 5-7 bags, really it is going to depend on the size you are trying to cover.
