I'd have called in sick and been there myself, but the damn papers didn't say anything about there being a memorial for Lou until today - the day it took place!!! I was already at work when I found out about it. Needless to say, I am quite irate about this.
Wasn't it an impromptu thing? I would've gone too, but like you, I had no idea about it.
There was stuff online about it. There was an announcement on Lou Reed's official website and I think there were announcements in certain music websites and I think it was also on the Huffington Post (but I could be wrong). It's not like I'd be able to go anyway...sometimes I really, really hate living in Indianapolis...
