I burst out laughing when Michael said for sure for sure... in all the years he has never sounded Irish... and then stick two west cork guys down beside him, and Michael's Kerry accent appears.

He does have an Irish accent, it's just a more neutral one. He's lived abroad for twenty years or so, of course he's going to sound more international than your local joe soap irish man.

American from northern plains (south dakota) and i got all of it. But I do think that I have much more exposure to the variety of Irish accents than most Americans- just because I'm interested. So I'd say that many americans would miss alot of this. I mean, I watched "The Wind that Shakes the Barley" and the people I was with needed subtitles...

o donovan brothers you guys are my idols when it comes to rowing. Im in my town rowing club and I was kicked off my crew u16 for a girl who should have been u14 because of what her surname was before the season started. I was close to stopping rowing because of how I was being more or less ingored in my club.Your whole attitude during the Olympic Games saying you were just having the craic helped my this year. So instead of worrying about races I just went to training for the craic. Because of you now I have fun at rowing not worrying about anything other than being in the boat and having the craic. Cheers lads😉
