I feel like Ebbets took down their metropolitans jersey because Seattle is likely going to have a metropolitans winter classic jersey. That makes the most sense to me. I don't think costs were ever an issue. But Seattle definitely has a underrated jersey history.

I wouldn’t go to another hockey game until I moved to Anchorage and attended a bunch of Alaska Aces games and some UAA Seawolves games. That’s what really made me a fan. Then, a bunch of Thunderbirds games after my kid was born, and now obviously Kraken. The Thunderbirds logo is my favorite logo in all of sports!

His take doesn't compare to mine re: the kraken logo. I'm a long time/hard core Red Wings fan but all my friends & family knew I'd be getting Kraken season tickets. Several of them saw the jersey reveal before I did and messaged me how great they they looked. I didn't hear anyone say they didn't like it. I don't do X (formerly twitter) or facebook so I'm sure there were some people that didn't like it but my impression is they're in the minority.
How fast are you to buy a new jersey or do you prefer to wait till they’re available at a more reasonable price? Do you have a sixth sense that a specialty jersey will sell out fast and you jump on it to purchase?

On the contrary, I do think Seattle's logo will be a little outdated sooner rather than later, kind of like CBJ's original logo was. It's fine, but I think they'll refine/tweak it 5 to 10 years from now. Coachella Valley's jersey's look much nicer, imho.
