Finding tips,or tutorials on how to play 2k is so hard to find, I don't know anything about the rules of basketball, positioning etc. I've had to look at a combination of 2k gameplay, REAL basketball games, some random guy explaining the court itself, and build guides. On top of all that I practice alot on my court, and scrimmages And I'm slowly starting to get it. I just wish more 2k content creators made really good tutorials for complete newbies. I'm a beginner, 2k23 is my first 2k game, I started 2 weeks ago. It's so hard to practice online : the shooting is different than in MyCareer (maybe bc of the delay) and it's hard to train because you end up playing against max-lvl player and players that are used to play online. I tried multiple game mode to try and find the best way to practice, the shooting, the dribble etc.. I tried the 1v1 game mode but i ended up against a player that completly destroyed me (21 - 0) and I never had the chance to go on attack and practice my shots. This game is not really beginner friendly unfortunatly. Btw my character is 90, but my badges aren't max out yet.
This my first time playing since 2k20 bro I thought I still had it I started the game at hall of Fame difficulty but I lost but 2 points bro start at rookie till you get more comfortable
Ethernet cable & get faster internet. Also most big TV's have a delay. Lastly try with ur controller cable plugged in. Online isn't Hof difficulty like the other guy said there's just a delay of you don't do the things I said. Also turn meter off & find ur green cue. The meter can be delayed online & u get a boost for not using it anyway
Be patient. It took me like 300 park games back in 2k19. 2k is a weird game. People exploit weird stuff. Find some chill guys to run with and you'll be fine.
Should we put all our badge points into tier 3 badges? If not what tier 3 badges should we get first? btw keep up the grind been using the 6'2 build since i got the game💪💪💪
u should read what each badge does and use the ones u think is most practical to you. The tier 3 badges aren’t necessarily better. It’s just usually what they do is more desirable depending on your build so they are moved further out of reach, that’s it. They don’t give u a bigger boost or anything

search up a video to make ur jumpshot and once u find one u like (not all of them will fit u) turn off shot meter and go into mycourt or Gatorade facility whatever gen ur on and practice it till u get use to it and it takes time and practice so just keep up the grind.
No tips for my park, but for Mycareer I have a cheese move for you. Run a screen for your teammate who has the ball. Your defender and his defender can get stuck in eachother or be slow to switch or best case double team ball, you call for pass after making some space and have a free open look.

My biggest question is what is the most popular game mode. Like do you guys just mostly play online nba team vs nba team, do you do thy career thing or my team thing more. It just seems like there's so much to take in when it comes to this game, which is a good thing. Basketball games have come a long way. I get a bit confused with create a player and my career. When you go to features and do create a player what do you do with that character
I did fuck up when I made my build ngl 🤣 Watched a video on it and at the time 73 vertical was all you needed for one foot pro contact dunks, but since then they’ve bumped it up to 75 and I’m stuck with a build who can do everything but consistently catch contacts even with gold posterizer, limitless takeoff on silver, a 94 driving dunk, and long ass arms 🤣 it’s irritating. Thought gym rat would give me a +4 to my physicals like it did in previous 2k’s so I spent like a month trying to get it only to find out there’s no way to get my vertical just 2 more damn points higher 🤣 I can get 2 foot contacts, but 1 foots are wayyy cleaner and faster too. Really irritating, specially since I dropped like $450 total on this build now 🤣. It’s a decent 6’7 2 way 3 level shot creator. I’m just pissed it can’t be any better because of 2 damn vertical points 💀

Don’t. Take it from somebody who’s played since 2K11, I have a 75w% and I’m a good player and shooter, get the meter off as fast as possible. Don’t change your jumpshot a lot, but if you ABSOLUTELY need to learn your jumpshot go to mycareer, or go to the mycourt. (Go to the elevator and it’ll be on the options)
