Well there are a lot of things I love about climbing, its hard to pick a favorite... I love the friends you make along the way and the amazingly supportive community. I also think it gives you an amazing break from everything else going on in your life, especially bouldering/climbing outdoors. And i just looove trying hard and training on the hangboard:D (in our gym we have three beastmakers 200 mounted on top of each other and me and a friend have set ourselves the challenge of campusing to the top on the 45 degree slopers, ridiculous challenges like that are also one of the things i love about climbing)
Love the video! I didn't realize they were so different besides the jugs and monos XD. Climbing has been an escape for me. As a student, it has been an outlet from the hustle and a way to get physical activity in between classes and assignments. The progression and the strength I feel after sending a project. Similar to other people here in the comments, climbing has its own little community and has connected me with so many people, especially helpful in these trying times. Keep up the good work! I am looking forward to the next video!
yeah man, stresses of life work, study, relationships.. can all get real exhausting real fast... but climbing is the one getaway that always brings me peace. Thanks for the support dude, and remember to put your instatag in for the DM =]
Wooo! Congrats on hitting 1k! Definitely not a climber yet but have always been interested in it. Even considered making my own hangboard to train. This will help increase my strength at home which will help boost my confidence climbing in public 😂
My favourite thing about climbing is the people you meet and the mental challenge and physical challenge in front of you! @jamescabula Congratulations on the 1000 keep the video coming!
I always say at the gym that climbing is 80% up here (taps head), your worse enemy is your head telling you its a shitty hold and you wont be able to hold it.
How is your finger strength 2 years later? 😀 And can you already hang on the 45 degree slippers of the beast maker 2000? 😄 And thank you for the video!
I think i agree on this as well. Made so many friends at the gym and the crag and everyone is always so willing to help and send right along side of one another. Best feeling.
I wonder if every sport has something like this; it's such a focused exercise for the strengths a climber needs, without the distractions that could show up during an actual climb. When I'm practicing boxing, the most difficult part of any punch combination is keeping my arms up once I start to get tired, and I have to stop the boxing routine. On off days I have to do focused triceps exercises that don't look at all like boxing, but without building that strength I can't keep progressing in the sport. I could see how getting the 1000 could help someone new build strength they're lacking that will make them much more reliable climbers.
I think its definitely hard for every sport, but there are definitely sport specific exercises that help for the specific movements that they entail. Having done kickboxing for like 6 years its simple and sometimes crude tools that get the most effectiveness like a tennis ball or some rope.
@@BeorOng yeah simple and sometimes crude- that's what really stunned me about this product; not trying to dump on it, it's clearly well made and intentional, but there's no flash to it; it just gets the job done. sometimes there's something really satisfying about the no frills approach to just building the required strength. there's something humbling about it, like it says so clearly: there is no shortcut, just do the work.
100% favourite moment when climbing is when you finish a project you’re working on, especially if you’ve been doing one climb for a long time!!! @josh.ding_climbing
No one is left behind, every climber supports one another...its fantastic... sure we have the banter every now and then between bouldering, speed, sport and trad but end of the day we all love the sport and just want to have fun
Yewww! Over 1k now : ) I climb for so many reasons! I love the challenge and I love the problems solving. And I absolutely love the community! It keeps me happy, healthy and sane...which means I can show up to my job at the hospital each day with plenty of energy and motivation for my patients! Big problems though: I keep wearing the fingerprints off my fingers which means I can’t open the finger-print-ID medication cabinets....and boy oh boy does hand sanitizer hurts in the cuts and scrapes I get from crack climbing!! Haha. Love Urban Climb, that’s my home away from home. But I’ve moved to the country for work this year and don’t have a place to Boulder/climb/train anymore!!! @livgj in Wangaratta : )
Oh the problem solving is something no one has really mentioned, that's a good one, I love the diversity of climbing styles. A single problem can be solved like 10 different ways just using your strengths or having to work around your weaknesses. Should look into some climb on for that skin or rhino repair (might do a vid on that soon actually haha)
One of my favourite things about climbing is that even though you face many challenges, you can tackle them at your own pace and learn alongside people at a higher skill level. I believe everyone brings something to the table when climbing. @sforsavvi
My favourite part of climbing is that its always something different. Climbing a route feels like playing a game, needing to solve a puzzle. Using my body's stats, to work around a route and to sent a project. @multixrush
yes! Especially outdoors, rocks just wont ever be cut the same so you always have a different problem to figure out. And the sit start of 7ft giants that end up having to stack 5 pads under you haha
Definitely, I think its kind of scary at the start not knowing anyone and people just seeming to be "better climbers" but you soon realize just how friendly the community is and no matter what level you are you have constant cheering of support behind you as long as you're trying your best
My favourite thing about climbing are the versatile climbing gyms, and friendly staff members. Especially "flow climbing!" If you're ever around South-east Melbourne please visit them! XD @tonyhoanggg
Climbing is where I found my community when I moved to a new city where I didn’t know a single soul within hundreds of miles. Climbing is what I look forward to each week, it’s my “home”, it’s quality time with my friends, and it’s where I’m able to constantly challenge myself and step out of comfort zone - a promise I made to myself and climbing will forever hold me to my own promise. @kirstenabbie
Its funny how I always knew about rock climbing (did it when I was younger) but when bouldering started to become a thing I was already much older and never really knew about it. I did kickboxing for 6 years and I don't regret it, it was fun, but it was never really much of a social thing. Now I can go to other countries, go to a gym and make friends so easily just by climbing and I love it
My fabourite thing about climbing is pushing myself to my limits as well as the amazing community that is so supportive of everybody and their sends! my instagram: @edenrussell_ also congrats on 1k!!
absolutely dude, nothing like working on a problem for ages to finally top it. The adrenaline pump right after is like a drug haha. Thanks for the support !
My favorite thing about climbing is the peace. I can't think about anything while climbing and the stress of the world melts away when I'm on the wall. @archidev1
oof, thats one I can relate too quite well... Had a really big decision to make a couple years ago and it was just stressing me out to no end. I ended up going out for a climb and it just ended up clearing my mind and made it so much easier to make a decision
There are so many things I love about climbing. I get excited every week to hangout with friends and do climbs together. You feel a sense of accomplishment for yourself and others when they defeat that problem they've been trying again and again @sonitain

I ended up losing my board to a move across the country. Sad, but climbing is why I relocated. It's adrenaline yoga and goat simulator combined. What's not to love? Joke aside, anybody trying to pull me up flyboys? @belayedsloth
My favourite thing about climbing has got to be the seeing people who have never climbed before trying it for the first time, as well as the feeling you get when you finally complete a difficult route. @sam_cathie
I always say that when you try bouldering for the first time you'll either love it or very much not care for it. Its a very polarizing activity. But when you see the ones that love it go at it.... they get their flappers, ask for tape and then run back to the wall.... you cant help but say hahahha we got another one. Love this comment
Congrats! Favourite thing about climbing is the challenge and the progression you can see in yourself as you get better and more experienced. @ykdanny1

@@BeorOng At least you’re country is taking covid more seriously than mine! I haven’t been able to climb much recently either due to exams but I have 3 months off after next week to make up for lost training :)
I think the sole purpose of the 45 degree sloper on the beastmaker 2000 is to unite climbers every climber regardless of skill, it's just impossible
hahha, One day Ill look at an 89 degree angle and say... "that's a jug"
My favorite thing about climbing is the community. I started climbing seriously maybe a month and a half ago and I’ve already met such great people!
Everyones so friendly that I actually feel at home at most gyms
