After watching this I pulled mine off and cleaned it all up with oven cleaner as I couldn't find a non egr type then pressed a core plug into centre hole, now from external it still looks stock and seems to run and go much better
Cool thanks for posting. I just saw a video where these guys used a blow torch to get that spot/sludge glowing red hot then compressed air by itself to get that stuff burned out of the manifold. Was a cool video lol good choice on the swap. Keep us posted
Are you aware that 2 stroke oil in the TCW2 variety has built in carbon removal? 2 strokes are notorious for Carbon build up. I wonder if using it in Diesel fuel would provide the same cleaning affect as well as improving lubricity of the UL Sulfur fuel?

I would have like to see inside the non egr version also.
Is that for practical light duty to heavy duty swap? If so what else is needed?
I have the egr one but i blocked it off can i grind the chamber down inside the bottom off the intake instead of buying new bottom?
I believe you can clean the intake with an ultra sonic cleaner.
That would be a large expensive effort. For the machine.
@@bryanst.martin7134 Expensive? You can clean Carburetors just as well with Ultrasonic cleaners. Dont see why it would be expensive...
what year did the non egr intake come off of
My 1999 6.5TD doesn't have it.
Omg that’s terrible! Throw that thing away! 🤣
I have a 95 so I don’t have to worry about gay egrs!
Everything now days is trash
The 6.5 still has an EGR.
@@LilRedRambler Did all 6.5 Turbos come with an EGR?. Looks like my 94 has no EGR. So I guess it got deleted 😬
@@Jean_1999 the more I read mixed comments the more I question myself haha. Maybe they don’t sometimes

Maybe the California versions had it.
