I am British so I naturally preferre the Red Arrows but I also know that whoever you fly with it takes a bloody lot of skill and training to do this and I take my hat off to them all! Thanks!
Los mejores pilotos del mundo, sin lugar a dudas, son los componentes de la escuadrilla de los Blue Angels. Yo los vi en Torrejón de Ardoz (Spain) y en el Air Show de Toronto. Indescriptible !!!
If you guys like the Blue Angels you should also check out the Thunderbirds. I had the privilege of seeing both of them when I lived in New Orleans. Everyone should get the chance to see one of these two teams!
I give alot of respect to these guys, if they were to be deployed as a whole team i would be finding the deepest bunker in the world. Crazy, Awesome flying. Let God Be With You Guy
Great video work,, thanks I seen the show many times,, thank you for the post. I know how hard it is to work a camera and get just the right frame all the time
Hello Bob, Yes, way. I am a retired Air Force tactical pilot. I flew the F-16 for double digit years. As an exchange officer with the Navy, I have flown the F-14 and F/A-18. I was also an instructor pilot in the T-38. Before the Viper (F-16), I flew the F-4E and RF-4C Go for your dreams if flying is what you want to do. It takes years of hard work but stay focused and I am confident you will succeed. Best of success to you. Since you are 12 tell your folks about our messages.
TOPGUN is the US Navy Strike Fighter Tactical Instructor program; the Blue Angels FAQ lists that TOPGUN is not a prerequisite, but a number of pilots were in TOPGUN before or after their time with the Angels. All members selected for the Blue Angel squadron serve a 2-3 yr term. The pilots must have min 1250 flight hours and are selected by the current team, while the CO/Flight Lead is appointed by the chief of Naval air training. BTW, I'm not a military man, just interested in aviation.
Im a younger kid and want to be an aeronautical engineer and these planes are just absoulutly awebringing they fly in great unison and just look amazing. This is why i wanna be an aeronautical engineer.
The secret is know your math inside out. Everything that is designed and built is math math math. I grew up on a dead end farm to market Road in East Texas and join the Navy in the mid 70s to work on aircraft and load bombs and missiles. As long as you have the love of aircraft you can make it happen.
From 5:48 to 6:23 it's only U.S.A.F and U.S.N. pilots that can fly four aircraft as one, consistently show after show because of the words, grunts, and sounds made by number 1 to keep the timing. No other flying force has the perfection they do! They're an awe to the world, and remain a force untouchable!!!
The flying skills demonstrated by the Blue Angels are taught to every Naval aviator. These performances are just choreographed and designed for aerial demonstration. So great to watch.
Nice video! The audio was fantastic. Nice job for being on the spectator line the close ups were extraordinary. Nice hand man I know that was a ruff shoot man. NICE JOB!
Google "Opposing Minimum Radius Turn." It's one of the Blue's signature maneuvers and is basically a completely blind opposing turn where each aircraft turns away and then pulls into each other. It's amazing how close the aircraft actually get while neither pilot can see the other. A complete trust maneuver.
The Red Arrows started using the diamond formation way back in 1968 sometimes with as many as 9 aircraft. However, the Blue Angels adopted the diamond formation (4 aircraft) as their signature 19 years earlier in 1949. Yes that was before the Red arrows existed.
Precision, class, patriotism and excellence! Every single thing the "haters" aren't. Why do they come here and try to put down THIS amazing thing?! Oh, well what matters here are these guys, the BLUE ANGELS, the best in the sky!!!
That was beautiful. What a sight. The one that went from a touch and go to a Harrier then to vertical clime. Because that was awesome. To bad they can't find a way to safely break the sound barrier.
The jet-engine and jet-plane were invented by the Romanian engineer Henri Coanda,30 years before Whittle Other Romanian inventors;Iustin Capra(jetpack),Anastase Dragomir(ejection-seat),Aurel Persu(first aerodinamic automobile),Gogu Constantinescu(automatic transmission shifter and the simultaneity device of shooting through the propeller blades),Ion Şt. Basgan(sonic drilling),Augustin Maior(multiple telephony),Petrache Poenaru(pen),Nicolae Paulescu(insulin),Lazar Edeleanu(amphetamine) and so on.
Even now our F-16 have something of 1 hour of flight to 12-16 hours of maintence. The F-14 when it was scrapped was closer to 1 hour of flight to 40 hours of maintence. The F-18 can be kept in the air more often and its replacement parts are MUCH cheaper as well.
They are combat proven aircraft and can be returned to combat duty within 72 Hrs. The changes to the demonstration aircraft include replacing the nose cannon with a tank for the smoke system, installing an extra fuel pump for extended inverted flight, installing a 40lb spring on the stick to allow more precision in formation flight, and a low-friction paint.
The Blue Angels are my favorite Air Demonstration team. I've seen a number of them over the years, but the Angels have some tactics that make their shows just fantastic. I watched the Toronto Air Show from my boat once, and every time the 4 main aircraft have a little too much of your attention, one of the other 2 will come out of no where and buzz you at what seems like 50 feet! Obviously it's more than that, but it startles the crap out you! Just a great team.
The pilots are from the jet set. They are taking the display to new heights. The future of the display is always up in the air. If they do a low pass the people feel exhausted. Sometimes it seems like they are winging it.
I believe it is to keep all of the pilots in sync. It's a technique even taught to students at the Army's Sniper School for the shooter and spotter to stay in sync.
The Blue Angels are currently flying newer model C and D Hornets, so their not that old by comparison to what the A/B models were, its just like the Thunderbirds Block 32 F-16 were some of the oldest in the Air Force were old now they fly the F-16 Block 52. I highly doubt the Navy would give old run down about to fall apart Hornets to the Blues, they deserve the best of the best always!
Because some, including me, find it interesting. There are tons of videos of the Blue Angels everywhere, but not many let us hear the commander giving instructions and it's just another piece of the puzzle as to how they fly with such precision.
srm4kh29 Exactly! I've watched tons of their videos where you can hear the lead pilot's instructions. It makes perfect sense now, when you're standing on the ground and wonder how they all know to move this way or that way at the same time. Plus its pretty cool the way he puts a little melody to it. That part made me giggle the first time I heard it. :)
Switchblade have a look at Red Arrows danger men part 6. I Live an hour from these guys and last year spent a vip day with them. I know these are the best in the world bar none. Look at the respect and admiration they get from the canadian and us airmen.
Colin & I want to thank you for such a beautiful and exciting video. He is 3 yrs old this week and didn't blink a eye for 25 mins. Tks
Future pilot maybe? :D
I was here for this, It was epic to see it in person
Have seen the Blue Angels several times but haven't seen them or been to an air show in about 5 years. I've got to get back on my horse! 👍🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲
WONDERFUL SHOW!!! THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT MADE THE VIDEO
AND PUT IT UP HERE FOR ALL THE REST OF US TO WATCH. THANKS A BUNCH. JUNE
My most favorite place on Earth..Parris Island Beautiful Beaufort SC...live you my Marines....
I am British so I naturally preferre the Red Arrows but I also know that whoever you fly with it takes a bloody lot of skill and training to do this and I take my hat off to them all! Thanks!
My grand pa was the macanic for the blue angels back in the day so I know a lot about them also there sort of part of my family.

I find myself focusing on the radio. It's neat, being able to hear what the pilots are saying. Thanks for that.
Très belles démonstrations des Blue Angels.
Great video work,, thanks I seen the show many times,, thank you for the post. I know how hard it is to work a camera and get just the right frame all the time
We were there and the whole air show was great.
The Blue Angels show up at the Titusville Air Show in Florida as well.
Great precision.

Amazing video quality i felt like i was there watching on my 47 HD TV!!!!
Blue Angels and "Tricolor Arrouws" give strong emotions. Greetings from Friuli, Italy

I like you had the radio tuned in. I like hearing the calls.

The Blue Angles aren't just a symbol of America, but aviation itself.
jaw-dropping maneuvers above the sky.. this is bloody awesome...
good camera man and super video!
Lots of good video footage there. Thanks!
The few seconds after 13:20 are a brilliant capture of how fast these jets fly... rarely does one get to sense 'relative' speeds!!
I saw them a few years ago at NAS Patuxent River; a very impressive show
amazing, like my heart was off to see this, greetings from Indonesia

1000% perfect, ty from Berlin Germany

Nope the red arrows are the best display team in the world sry mate
From your perspective.
I love the sneak passes. Those are freaking awesome!
画質もいいし、素晴しい動画ですねぇ!! スネイク・パスも読み通りバッチリキャッチしてるし♪
Tonkatsuさんのドヤ顔が目に浮かんできそうです(^‐゜)b
That was beautiful. What a sight. The one that went from a touch and go to a Harrier then to vertical clime. Because that was awesome. To bad they can't find a way to safely break the sound barrier.
this happened in Piracicaba city that is in Brazil in São Paulo ... I live there and was there the day it happened

I love the blue angels!!!! I need to get some videos of them on our channel!
dont worry at 13:24 they got us over here in little old PEI, Canada too and iT WAS AWESOME

The discipline it takes is amazing!
@sorte18 Yeah but the plane is kind of designed to do that to some extent the tail hook takes the brunt of the scrape
That was FUCKING EPIC. And the radio chatters of the pilots made it even better

oo omg I cant wait for the Airshow this YEAR!! :D
Blue Angel #5, 4:53 is this a tail strike or am I seeing things?
Yep, for sure.
yea definitly a strike, you can see sparks fly....
Put it in 0.25 speed, it's a tail strike.
Bryan Bollhardt I
BEAUTIFUL SHOW!
Its a sound the leader makes to tell the others in what speed they are doing the moves. Can´t remember what show i saw it on.
My cousin was their avionics officer for 2 years. Best ground crews work with these teams.
the blue angels are going to be at offutt air force base july 19th and 20th
NIce man i was there when number 6 i believe went down a couple years ago i was watching him and then seen him go down huge black cloud :(

awesome air show
These guys are awesome!
ohh!!!!!! what a great.... Perfect Airshow
amazing video
I believe it is to keep all of the pilots in sync. It's a technique even taught to students at the Army's Sniper School for the shooter and spotter to stay in sync.
They do, you can see the sparks.
so the hose doesn't get caught up on the control stick when they're flying in close formations.
I really need to see this guys what a team crazyyyyy pilots
ythey were just majestic
I wonder what their procedure is for engine out on the formation takeoff?
I-I.... L-Love th-this SOOO m-much I-I am s-speechless
yeah, we have tickets for Dayton airshow with some friends and it sucks now.
superbe video!
LOVE AIR SHOWS,,,
AWESOME VIDEO!
Fun video, love the Blues. The thumbnail image of the solo jets is perfect. In fact all your video thumbnails are great, how do you do it?
I love the radio feed :D
Nhafkycuame
The money fined allows for research into more economical flight. You could say the same for war or f1
Ohmygod the pilot of number 5 is my favourite. Althought they're all amazing.
it is just AWESOME!

omg. everytime I see them I get hot!! lol happy veterans day guys & gal
this is insanely good. our men of mayhem
Karen M. W. everyitme I took my afghan show dog out to the sand pit or anywhere, planes come by & give me a show. not blue angels but allplanes
Karen M. W. I love the new. lol planes w/ upright stabilizer wings. lol
None better that the Blue Angels air show.
I don't understand why the soundtrack includes the radio chatter. How does that add to the video? great flying though!
Because some, including me, find it interesting. There are tons of videos of the Blue Angels everywhere, but not many let us hear the commander giving instructions and it's just another piece of the puzzle as to how they fly with such precision.

Хороший звук двигателей!
Did you see the Brazilian Smoke Squadron flying?
great vid thanks for posting
as a former f-18 mechanic id hate to have to do the tailstrike inspection on aircraft 5 4:53 into the video
WOW nice footage ! Awesome team
The second solo's takeoff is one of my favourite things about the Blue Angels
14:07 That's an awesome fly-by!!! and oh I Love that sound when they Fly-by!!
how do the jets selectively produce smoke or not? That's my question
I disagree, yeh there is already fire from exhaust but it scrapes the floor and additional sparks come from the under side rear.
Good video. It is really hard shooting an airshow, I tried and failed.
whats with the pickup escort as theyre taxiing?
is this the Mankato MN airshow holy shit i was there it was sick!!!!!
Tail strike at 4:52? Bet he got a size 10 boot in the backside for that!
pretty sure he did
lol i noticed that too
Yup I saw that too. I can't imagine how dangerous AND expensive a tail strike is!
very good,great video
anyone noticed the tail-scrap #5 jet dirty roll???
Beautiful! What HD cam are you using? I am planning to get one...
Yes perfection for sure makes you proud to be an American for sure
