It’s really stupid how rockstar wants us to use pistols for the casino story missions and for the doomsday heist for tier 4 of both of those… there’s always some missions where they become insanely hard and we die very quick, even when your taking on the juggarnaughts as well. That was really unnecessary for them to do.
The third mission was undoubtedly very hard for me. Before this video, I did use the Armored Kuruma, but in the wrong place - I used it near the stairs before the patio pool Tao and his translator hides, with the door open for a quick jump-in and a quick switch to my AP pistol (I think it’s a bug whenever you choose any pistol, it goes back to your recent weapon before the fight starts).You nailed that mission quite well, I might have to go back again. Also, the first mission I recently found out that I would’ve kicked my head in. I saw this in videos, but no one told me how they did it, until I did it myself. I did had to kill 3 hostiles, but no one started shooting, and I just causally walked, unarmed, found Tao and drove back without a scratch. 🤣

Yep, tried Strong Arm for a while and the dude just kept dying. And sometimes I got missiled out of nowhere. Doable though, but the time it takes to quit and restart and drive back is so annoying. But Bad Beat is just so painful! I’ve done it for 5 hours straight on loop and just can’t finish it with my health above what’s needed. It’s driving me freaking insane. The sheer pain of being bested by a game. Repeatedly. FML. I’m at the point where I’d literally pay someone to just finish it for me. 😅

@@Milk_Cubic No, you can basically get spotted and run up to them and drop them before the alarm sounds. That’s fine. As soon as the alarm sounds it’s void.
I know it's Rockstar so I shouldn't be surprised, but what the frick? How can they screw something so simple, so bad like a pistol only challenge. The ridiculous hoops you have to go through just so nothing gets voided. At least they could have given a notification if the challenged failed instead of having to do the whole mission and hoping it counts.

I’m not sure if rockstar have changed this as I have blatantly watched an NPC run over an enemy in strong arm tactics and an enemy burn to death in bad beat and it still gave me the pistol challenge as complete
I actually did Bad Beats twice..the first time I focused solely on only using pistols. The second time allowed me to use any weapons to keep my health above 50 percent which is much easier than trying to do it all at once in one run
I’ve done them all apart from Strong Arm Tactics. The first heli always seems to fall on someone and kill them 😩. Then you have to do that really long drive and cutscene all over again 💀

update for anybody still going for it, I blew up the tankers with people around them and I still got the challenge. I also accidentally dropped a buzzard on some enemies and it killed 3 of them and I still got the pistol only challenge. Happy hunting fellas
When doing GTA Today II, I discovered that the regen ability of the Opressor Mk2 will not cancel any of the challenges. I got shot up a bit getting the 3rd car, and had my health go to pretty much 75%. Riding the oppressor to get the last car, my health went back up. Low and behold it still counted for no damage, and no snacks. Haven't tested if you have you health drop below 50% and regenerate it back up though.
Hold on, if canonically we kill Mr Cheng and his son in ending C, then how come they still show up in gta online? Does that mean the events of gta online take place before story mode or is it like all over the place?

Rockstar modified the Casino missions with the Drug Wars DLC back in December allowing them to be done solo.

Six times? It took me about 60 times to get it cleared on hard for pistols and health challenges.

Happened to me with the 3rd mission too. Shot a chopper down and explosion took out a couple guys and still got the pistols only challenge

The missions start you at 100% so if he doesnt shoot it stays at 100
Casino missions don't have an accuracy challenge, just 50% damage taken and using only pistols.
Casino missions are not contact missions.
