If the tank smells then the problem is with the water. U need to do a regular 30% water change on weekly basis.. try to add activated carbon or seachem purigen.. and try to syphon out all the waste during water change..

If its amazonia planted soil.. then it might reduce the ph and u need to be careful while doing water changes.. if u remove 50% water and add 50% of fresh water then chances are there for a ph mismatch.. coz the planted soil would have already reduced the ph as i have mentioned earlier and fresh water would have regular ph content.. so the change in parameter will take the fish down .. ph shock

Bro first u need to find out if the water is hard or soft .. based on that i can suggest the type of fish.. to find out u just get a TDS meter will cost u around 500Rs and with that we can find out the water parameter to an extent . And ph if possible ..

I did the same mistake as you mentioned in the video while change the water, the water temperature was higher than usual because of summer,after water changing within a week I lost 15 Malawi cichlids,and the aquarium is totally washed out....
I wouldn’t recommend arowana and Oscars.. if not today there would be a day where we might end up losing either one.. of u plan for arowana go for species only tank without any tank mates
First you have to keep them separate from big Fish for that you should have breader box and feed them dried shrimp powder three times a day and show them love.
There aint any short cut method .. all you need to do is give them enough space , proper diet, and regular water changes.. the fish will grow healthy and will take its own time to grow..

Thats their behavior to shift the sand.. dont use beach sand.. they will have trace elements and will have contaminants..
