Thank you so much for this video it was soooo helpful. My dad just recently passed away from a motorcycle accident and his car sat for not even a week and the battery was DEAD DEAD. We couldn’t move it and wanted to attempt to replace the battery on our own and were successful first try with this video. So helpful and very grateful on how descriptive you were, helped us from a lot of problems 💕 Thank you
any idea what would be melting the ground/negative cable on a pilot almost identical to yours?? Brand new battery, alternators fine, new starter all of the connections are tight. All of the wiring looks good but the ground keeps getting hot enough to melt the sheathing… Weird
Hi, what you can try is: Have your physical key ready. Connect the negative terminal (the horn will go off). Then quickly go to the driver's side door, insert key and turn right (unlock). This should stop the horn from blaring. Hope this helps.
@@BROKEBOY1000 I've replaced dozens of batteries and have never experience that. Something is clearly not right. Please take the car to a qualified mechanic/dealer.
Im trying to find anyone with an answer for me. My pilot sat for 2 years without a battery and now, with a brand new battery, the dash lights wont even come on to start and there was no previous problems. What can i do?
I did that with the running engine, all of the memories are saved

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I'm glad you found the video helpful, it's the least I could do.

I've never experience that. That said, I'd take it to a mechanic to get this resolved as soon as possible for safety reasons.

This was on another car, but I had to leave the battery and the charger on the car for a day or two, for certain modules to charge and "reactivate".
