    • @ESKATEUK
      @ESKATEUK ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@f22jax you really don’t understand how peak power works and when to change gear do you… oh dear. The peak power maybe at 5200rpm, but it remains at that peak power all the way until 6700rpm, as shown on dyno results. When you change gear you want it to land as near to the bottom of that peak power again so it can get straight back into its power band. He was changing gear and it was dropping all the way down to 4200rpm. He had no idea what he was doing.

      For real. If you're not going to shift at 7k rpm, just leave the transmission in S. It'll shift better.

      @wesleysuperman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks to emissions standards etc. we don't get big engines anymore.
      But, think of the badging now, as a power level rather than an engine size.
      EG: 2010 135 (3.0 straight six) was 225kw and 450nm
      2020 135 2.0 4 pot. 225 kw 450nm. (I love the 6, but that's progress right?)
      40i replaced old 35i, but that makes a mega 285kw and 500nm

    They old straight six NA engines rev better in the 5000+ range. A ~250bhp car from that era like a 330i hits 250 not easy but reliable where the 30i with 2l Turbo and 248 bhp really struggles to reach 240.
