  • We tried the 6 ft Land Plane on the TYM T25 tractor. I think it did ok, but the 6 ft land plane is a bit much for a 25hp tractor. The land plane weighs just over 600lbs.

I agree with your wife, a muddy mess! T25 performance was excellent. Today’s video reminded me of too many trips to the “field” in similar weather, ugh. I sure don’t miss those days. I wish you two (or three w Gizmo) some weather allowing you continued progress on your build out. Time and money, plus health!

I could hear my Uncle saying "What did you do to my driveway? Go to the shed and get the rake and get this fixed before Dinner!" He was a man of a few words, so when he would say something like that he was serious.

I am not worried about it to much. It is thick with gravel and will settle again. We are putting white rock over it next summer.

We definately have had enough rain this week!(remember, im not but about 30 miles from ya!). Wet gravel dont spread too well. I have always hated having to spread rock when it came from Camden gravel. It was always really wet, so much you couldnt tailgate it at all. When i get ready to redo my driveway, im going to get mine brought in from Vulcan down in Savannah. They have the limestone rock that has what they call the purple passion streak...basically it's grey and burgandy colored gravel... looks awesom as a top layer of 56 over a good base. Probably get a couple loads of their gabion to put on the embankment too. I went and got a small load of the birdseye from up at jr hayes(just a few miles from our tym dealer!) Going to use it in the flowerbeds this spring. Btw, incase you didnt know, mr Jim passed away.

We are planning on putting down a good layer of gray/white stone in the summer. The old red stuff makes a great base.

The landplane seems to be easier to use than a box blade w scarifying teeth. I’d have a hard time justifying both due to cost.
I pull a 5’ box blade behind my L2501. Experience and luck produces a pretty good driveway w the 5’ box blade. I enjoy your videos. We are in SE Ga. 81, clear w no humidity today.

@@TonysTractorAdventure It would definitely pull better in dry material for several reasons. I don't like this darn Tennessee clay and have dumped tons of lime rock in my long driveway. It gets expensive but I'll take lime rock any day over mud.

New subscribe, from what I've seen so far you have really good content and camera work. I can't imagine the time creators such as you have tied up in production. I loved watching GP outdoors when he did small open station tractor videos along with outdoors with the Morgan's...when he had the RK series tractor. I had mentioned on a earlier video about that tractor not having a three speed transmission...for such a heavy implement and the grapple on the front...it pulled really hard with no sign of bogging down.
