As a Japanese language learner and lover of Doja Cat’s music, I’m so happy I found this! I’m always interested to see Japanese reactions to Rainych’s covers, because it seems like she has a talent for translating without sacrificing the groove of the song. I learned a couple of new things from your video, such as how to use もう1匹. Thank you for the educational tidbits at the end~

One thing I want to say is that I don't think it's just kids-friendly .. there are many adults who don't like hearing those things cus it makes them uncomfortable or cus of their religion (and there a re more religious ppl than nonreligious just to give you a perspective so yeh)

I couldn't explain it very well and it confused you. I'm sorry. This is not about how to call a cat, but how to count it. We call cats "NEKO". You are right.
What I meant was, one cat is counted as "IPPIKI NO NEKO", two cats are counted as "NI-HIKI NO NEKO", three cats are counted as "SAN-BIKI NO NEKO"... Does it make sense?
NEKO is not slang, it's a common word.
