Disregard my comment on the pictures, after watching the video it makes sense. Looks great!

Haha that brilliant Mike, I wish you were my neighbour, I want chicken in my urban Cavan garden, and this looks perfect.

Very cool. I'm thinking of building my own, how many chickens can live in that? How often do you have to clean it? Clean the litter out a couple times a week, pressure wash a couple times a month or something like that?

Hello Ian, there is 7 birds in it at the moment. It could comfortably fit 10, the trade off is more birds means more regular cleaning. At the moment the 7 birds requires a full clean with pressure washer once a month. You could have 10 large chickens in there and clean once a month but they may start to get fussy about laying if they feel that the coop is too dirty for them. Depends on the birds really. If you're doing bantams then double those figures, eg 14 bantams for once a month cleaning etc. That's where the drop down floor comes in handy, open the front open the floor, rake out the big stuff and blast down the surfaces with the pressure washer.

Awesome thanks for the quick response! One more thing if you don't mind, with the insulation on the walls and ceiling does it get really hot in there during the summer?

@@ianjohnson171 no it's shaded by the roof on the chicken run so it stays around ambient temp on the hot days.
